Should there be a tentative schedule introduced so people can plan around when a vote is likely due. It could always be communicated if this changes or an anomaly happens.
Giving people a voting date schedule like e.g after each Planetary call or some timely occurrence will help people make plans around that, instead of it being unknown and constantly feeling like you could miss the 3 day window.
There’s enough things in life grabbing at our attention non-stop, I think adding one less uncertainty is a kindness and makes the DAO that little bit more pro.
In an ideal scenario that would be possible, but I think there are issues with aligning involved projects which causes delays and putting all things in their place. And then they probably feel their hands forced to get it over with and not create more delays, as votes are not made enough anyway.
I think voting needs a general overhaul, to give more votes, at least once per month if not even once every 3 weeks. Stretch the topics more out and find a better rythm. And then it would not feel so bad to get all aligned before announcing the vote and possibly being more precise in advance, aka “we are all set, voting starts in exactly 2 weeks” or so…
Not a bad idea but we must also consider the fact that the crypto industry isn’t static and things do change in a speed of light like @meow always puts it so having such schedule fixed is hard to stick to as things can come up that those planned votes might not need to happen or pushed forward etc. But if we regularly check the Jup community feeds, these information around voting and other stuffs gets given enough publicity before they take place.
I agree that after each planetary call the team could show the schedule of upcoming things even if only approximate dates are given. For me it works just fine for now since voting is always announced. Otherwise we as well know that each time there is a new vote coming, a lot of influencers like Jussy.Sol, fabiano.sol and may others post it via their x accounts.
Tbh i was hopinh that such thing would happen as well because for that reason and a bit poor planning on my side I wasn’t able to vote on a couple of proposals. However i think that if that was possible they would’ve already implemented it
I think having a schedule long term may be difficult with how everything changes so fast. Being a part of the Jupverse one must be flexible and adapt as things change. I feel like we are given ample time for votes and a pretty good roadmap. Especially if notifications are turned on in X or for announcements in Discord. Setting a long-term timeline may set unrealistic expectations or make t harder to change based off something that is occuring real time. Just my thoughts.
Votes could always go live on specific days of the week. For example, votes always go live on a Monday and close on a Friday. Or whatever days you want.
That way we only have to check once a week to make sure we do not miss votes.
