Unanswered queries on differences and understanding overall discord channel

i’ve asked about the differences and other questions above, but no one has answered. since i want to get a general understanding, i’m asking again here. (there are actually quite a few confusing points in the forum, but i’ll try to read through the directions and figure it out myself first)

so, can anyone help

  1. what’s working group (wg?) is for, why there’s a working group, is there any incentive

  2. what’s catdet?

  3. what’s difference between catdet & non-catdet

  4. what’s difference between catdets chat & general channel

  5. what’s difference between chatting here & on jup research forum (on discord more like user report, and here for business development?)

A work group is NOT the Jupiter team, rather community specialist for specific areas. You have the CORE WORK GROUP (CWG) which kinda overlook the dao.

You have UPLINK WORKGROUP (UWG) they produced media content for Jupiter

You have Jup and Juice WG ect.

Under the uplink blanket, they do grants for those with cool ideas. So if you got one you want to create you will be compensated for it!

A Cadet is a higher recognised member of the community. You get it through being helpful, staying active and pursuing Jup’s core values. About this role you have Cat of culture role which is even better. It’s dope.

Nothing. We all apart of the ecosystem! cadets have a red name in chat. There is no financial benefit to being cadet, purely aesthetic.

As the name says- cadet chat is only for cadets

The purpose of jup research ain’t for chatting. Head over to discord for that.

This site is for making proposals, suggestions or ideas that the team will (and do) read.

Think @lochie2001 has addressed all your questions well. Can only add that if you join Jupiter discord, you can also follow these specific channels & they have a lot of links, Q&As and resources that you can find helpful.

Not sure how consistent you have to be to earn that cadet role as i have been pretty much active & consistent on most of Jupiter social portals: discord, DAO, X, YouTube,Reddit etc for a while now but haven’t been awarded that yet🤷🏿‍♂️

It can be a little confusing at first, it’s still difficult for me to understand some things also due to my lack of not knowing English very well (a mistake on my part) but I’m working on it. But if you spend time in Discord you will gradually realize how each work group works. As comrade @lochie2001 said, there is no difference between catdets and general. except having a name in red and being a little more active and useful within the community. In any case, it is appreciated that you speak on this forum since you can learn a lot here. all the best :heart:
