Thank you for your support JPORTA
Thank you, Konstantinos! We truly appreciate your support and the trust you’ve placed in @adedamola and the entire Jup Design Labs team
Glad to have you on board with us, Kira
Thank you, southen_13! We completely agree while design consistency is crucial, efficiency is just as important.
Btw i respect your feedback and i hope im not coming across in rude in any way.
but picture this:
- vote passes
- Community are understanding that 3750 per person per month.
- a full time WG vote goes ahead and this WG ask for 5000 per person.
- People go “WTF how did it increase so much” when in reality its the same amount as trial phase.
Haha, no worries, all is good!
As for the comp increase: I think it’s fine, moreover, I would fully expect full Working Groups to ask for more money than trial ones. There’s a much higher level of responsibility and commitment.
Joice actually mentioned that she might consider switching to full-time if this Trial Working Group evolves into a full one, which I think will be a huge win for the Jupiverse.
it is the same the other ones are getting, so to me it is fair the ask for the same amount
Yeah after the planetary call and what Kash said I’m starting to agree more
It’s the equality vs equity argument.
so, you are basically saying,
for example that KASH becosue he is from Newyork,
he has the right to go to a 200 dolar a night hotel in japan, earning 10k per month…
but they should go by with 10 dolar hostal and 300 dolar a month,
is that the equity you are talking about???
WTF BRO,
in that case, I personaly invite them to my house in london,
so that they can claim 10k a month each.
free of charge, pluss i am a good cook too.
how is that for equity?
so you know that a mobil phone and a computer has the same price all over the world, that would be negative equity, right?
I am flabergasted.
Thank you for the clarification after further research and thoughts i think it is more than fair. I want to tier talent and you guys have already been working hard. Kind of messed up not tee reward hard work. My vote will be yes.
Jupiter Design Labs (DAWG) Proposal - Questions & Answers
Here’s a compiled Q&A with Adedamolajoke (DAWG Lead) addressing some key considerations I had. She was gracious enough to answer them via DMs, and I’m glad that the Jupiter DAO is taking Branding / Design / Art seriously. While I would have loved more specificity, I also understand that we all have IRL obligations, and appreciate her sharing what she could.
Let me be clear, it is a VERY well written proposal.
Budget & Structure
Q: What factors went into determining your proposed budget?
A: We considered several factors when working on the budget, including the qualifications and experience levels of team members, as well as the budgets of other working groups.
Q: How has DAWG been funded up to this point?
A: DAWG was funded through grants for some time.
Q: Is the proposed $6,000 sufficient for the WG contributors during this trial period?
A: For this trial period, I believe $6,000 is sufficient.
Roadmap & Deliverables
Q: What specific deliverables do you plan to prioritize in your 3-month roadmap?
A: For the three-month trial period, we want to set realistic expectations and avoid overpromising. We’ll build on our existing foundations to develop a design system for the DAO.
Operations & Workflow
Q: How do you plan to manage design requests from multiple working groups?
A: We’re currently working on establishing a request framework to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Q: How do you handle the unstructured nature of design requests within the DAO?
A: Tasks within the DAO are largely unstructured and spontaneous.
Community Integration
Q: How will you continue to grow the design community within Jupiter?
A: Through boot camps and AMA sessions.
Asset Management
Q: Who owns the design assets created by the DAWG, and how can they be accessed?
A: Jupiter DAO owns the assets, and everything we’ve created is openly available for anyone to use.
Questions Not Yet Addressed
Several important questions from the initial analysis remain unanswered:
-
What specific success metrics will be used to evaluate the Trial Working Group’s performance?
-
How will DAWG coordinate with Jupiter’s core team design resources?
-
What is the exact breakdown of the proposed budget across team members and activities?
-
How will competing design requests be prioritized when resources are limited?
-
Are there plans to develop scalable design solutions that working groups could implement independently?
-
What is the proposed governance structure for making design decisions that impact Jupiter’s brand identity?
Final Thoughts
Great design isn’t just window dressing—it’s what brings people together around a shared vision. Jupiter DAO (and Products) formalizing the DAWG gives us the opportunity to create solid branding, that helps both attract users and build community bonds. While crypto often obsesses over tech specs, the projects that nail both technical excellence and user-friendly design are the ones that stick around. I’m looking forward to seeing the DAWG in action.
First of all relax.
What im saying is this is the argument.
- 10 different people work 10 different jobs but they all make $100 a day. One is a lawyer, one is a toilet cleaner, one is a sky scraper winder cleaner, one works 60 hour week. one works 30 hour week ect… Thats equality
- 10 different people work 10 differrent jobs. Each are paid accordingly to demand for their job, difficulty, skill, hours worked and type of job. That equity.
Hello, Lochie. First of all, I find your analogy both inaccurate and dismissive of the work we do. We work just as much and as hard as others do, providing support to all working groups, multiple initiatives, and up to 18 regional initiatives. We also host regular design sessions.
If, after reviewing our proposal and the feedback from others, you still don’t recognize the effort we put in and its demand, then there’s not much more to discuss.
Lastly, I appreciate the effort you put into making “viral” posts on X about our scope supposedly being just “banners".
Thank you so much, J!
We appreciate your support, Blaq! We look forward to seeing you in our sessions.
Appreciate the kind words, Southen! Glad to hear DAWG has been a game-changer for you. We’re excited to keep delivering and making things even smoother during our trial! PPP
Really appreciate your thoughtful consideration, Rico! We look forward to continuing to contribute and make an impact. Thanks for your vote of confidence!
We really appreciate your support and recognition, Whiskers! Our team is fully committed to contributing meaningfully to the Jupiverse. Glad to have your support–we won’t take it for granted!
first of all, the worst thing you can tell to someone that is nervous, is “RELAX” but I guess you have no experience or expertise, in that line of work.
secondly, I belive I have said it before, eloquent and fancy wording does not imprese me, for me is the content and intention of your actions and words, not the way you say it or how much you decorate it and make it sound flanboyant,
I just did not take you for that kind, english education makes , well you know english minds,
this is what you asked for, for 2 people yourself,
for organizing documentation and a few chats on discord??
MATE creating art acctualy takes talent and skill,
you sound like the electritian that came yesterday, happily calling forener, (it is banter you see) he dont mind, to the older, subordinate croatian,
yet very quickly got his nickers in a twist as soon as i made a couple of jokes mentioning his precious “England” witch by the way, IT IS NOT A FUCKING COUNTRY AND IT NEVER WAS.
