Recommendations from a Large Holder to the Jupiter Core Team: Connecting the Dots for a Stronger Future
To the Jupiter Core & DAO Team and the Community,
As a long-term supporter, early believer, and larger participant in the Jupiter ecosystem, I would like to share some reflections and suggestions—expressed with appreciation, trust, and the shared desire to see Jupiter reach its full potential.
What follows are not criticisms, but perspectives offered in the spirit of constructive dialogue. I believe that with a few adjustments, we can strengthen the foundation for Jupiter to thrive—not just in the long term, but also in the short and medium term.
- Recognizing the Contribution of Early Supporters
Early contributors—who placed their trust in the project at a very early stage—currently face drawdowns of around 60%. While staking rewards are appreciated, they have not fully offset these losses. It would be meaningful to acknowledge this reality and explore how we can create a short and midterm path to solve that issue which is a burden for the community. Long-term fairness builds long-term strength.
- Transparent Communication Around Price Developments
In recent discussions (e.g., Planetary), the broader market downturn has been rightly mentioned as a key factor. However, from an outside perspective, it would help to also clearly communicate that the Meteora situation had a comparable impact—each accounting for roughly 50% of the price correction. A transparent and proactive communication approach during challenging moments builds resilience and trust across the community and beyond.
- Update on the Meteora Situation
The community values clarity and accountability. A status update on the independent audit around Meteora—shared neutrally and factually—would go a long way toward restoring confidence and reducing uncertainty.
- Clearer Time Horizons
The long-term vision of Jupiter is exciting and inspiring. At the same time, investors are making decisions to grow real capital also within a smaller time frame. In crypto a year is like a century in real-life. Early investors are here since a real-life century - and locked to earn a compensation: ASR‘s. It’s important to also outline short- and mid-term perspectives—so that contributors feel like participants in a shared journey. It should be clear that they are not testers of future ideas and products - „the DAO is a big experiment“: No! Its a commitment of real people, with real hard saved money to the great jupiter team. Thats what it is.
- Focused and Strategic Voting
The DAO has already taken important steps by locking key contributor tokens, establishing reserves, and managing governance. To continue on this path, voting should focus on undermining impactful, strategic decisions which are suggested and pre-approved by the core-team rather than operational micromanagement decisions. With structure, foresight, and lead time, governance can become one of Jupiter’s biggest strengths.
- Consistency in Governance Rituals
Planetary sessions and community voting are essential to engagement. Even when team members face unexpected absences, it’s important for these structures to remain consistent to earn a billion dollar valuation. Voting processes should be clear, timely, and purposeful—held when there is real substance to decide.
- Updating Staking Mechanics to Remain Competitive
The current 30-day lockup period for staked $JUP feels rigid compared to the flexibility offered by other protocols. Jupiter has the chance to stand out—either by adjusting the lock-up duration or by increasing rewards to match the commitment. Additionally, it would be helpful to clarify the long-term outlook of ASR rewards beyond September 2025, allowing for more informed planning.
- Balancing Vision with Value Creation
Jupiter’s commitment to supporting creative and emerging communities is admirable and unique. At the same time, it’s important to keep the core mission of value creation and capital growth in focus - beside the product development corefocus. A strong valuation and clear utility reflect the strength of our collective work—and attract the capital needed to scale that impact further.
- Strengthening Communication Around the Buyback Program
The buyback/payback program is a key strategic tool—but one that remains under-communicated. Many are unclear about its structure, size, and why its effects are not yet visible in the market. Transparent communication here would support both understanding and confidence.
Moreover, linking the current buybacks to future ASR events would send a strong signal: that the DAO is taking advantage of current market conditions to strengthen long-term value. This would be a powerful psychological and strategic move—showing that we are not simply enduring the bear market, but actively using it as a launchpad for the next cycle.
- Thoughts on the LFG Launchpad & ape.pro
Many of us joined the launchpad expecting to earn additional tokens (the best preselected solana projects), like at the start with $zeus, $sharky, $dbr – but process was tough and the effects not perfect, as everybody sold.
It maybe would have been an idea to send a small share – maybe 5–10% – from successful launchpad tokens (like the top 10) back to the DAO treasury. Just as a signal to show the integration of $jup in the systems, the commitment to the DAO and to balance out the missing LFG launchpad rewards .
- Strengthening Token Integration Across Jupiter Initiatives
One of Jupiter’s greatest strengths is its diversity of initiatives and products —from Jupiter Mobile to creative labs and governance tooling. A key opportunity lies in connecting these initiatives more clearly and embedding the $JUP token more visibly and consistently across them all.
For example, Jupiter Mobile’s integration of DAO features like on-chain voting is a fantastic step forward - a best case example. It shows what’s possible when product experience and token utility come together. These aspects of visibility are not only functional—they are symbolic. They show investors that $JUP is not just a governance asset, but an integral part of the Jupiter universe.
The more the token is perceived as essential and visible across products, tools, and user experiences, the more confidence and value the market will assign to it. A connected ecosystem is a strong ecosystem.
Conclusion
Jupiter has achieved so much already—and I believe we have only just begun. By making a few focused improvements in communication (positive and crisis-wise), governance, and community alignment, we can unlock the next phase of Jupiter’s journey together very successfully. I share this message with deep respect for what has been built—and genuine optimism for where we can go next.
With appreciation and conviction,
