wasng promised, only introduced. gotta remember jupuary is a blessing and not an entitlement. We can force the team to act upon their first speculation.
I recommend that you read the full proposals and comments first and then add your own. It is easier to discuss that way.
I literally made an account here just to say that your math and assumptions here are totally laughable after reading this.
Increasing the supply from Jupuary doesnât magically decrease the price of the token to the same market cap with a higher supply.
âDemand stays the same after Jupuaryâ is a laughably simplistic way of looking at this. Donât make broad claims like this when theyâre based on nothing and things you clearly donât understand.
Sounds like you got your bag from the first drop and arenât a fan of anyone else getting the same.
Market cap isnât 1:1 aligned with supply especially not in a case like this. Iâve said it multiple times now but seriously no one that thinks this should be having their opinions taken seriously here.
Few quotes to reply to you.
Not a relevant response, the reality is that the price doesnât magically drop in an EXACT proportion like you suggest in relation to a pre-determined circulating supply increase.
What youâve written is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of markets.
Weâve seen these supply increases occur in the past, you should know better that price and value is more complex than this. Conversely, if there is no Jupuary after they promised repeatedly there would be one, that could also impact price. The effects here are very much abstract and based on sentiment.
Its not simply I have a different idea of how the allocation should work, its that your premise that a 60% increase in circulating supply decreases price immediately by 30%. Bad understanding of markets, and therefore shouldnât be used to base decisions off of.
Two quotes to reply to you.
There have been clear promises for multiple (4) rounds of airdrops. These take place every year during Jupuary (January). You can find several of these promises by @meow in the Grow the Pie update #1 alone (https://www.jupresear.ch/t/archived-grow-the-pie-update-1/), not including the many statements made on Twitter and on calls:
and
Things change and the dao will vote for whatever is better for the community
Im sorry for you farmers
whatever the whales did was for their bag, which they did same with unclaimed jup even though not satisfied with the outcome and simply arguing with stakers vs users. an 100k staked jup receives 40-50% of his ROI i.e 40k jup in a particular year thats passive income which doesnt includes whether you use or dont use jup features, just vote that roughly takes 1min ~60 sec ~60000 milliseconds, yeah if u sus in terms of ISP then the whole aspects depends.
airdrop attract users which eventually jupary1 did thats what made jup being crowned despite being primarily on sol that being said farmers among users are essential cutting off implementing proper measures makes it more efficient.
Its no brainer that we need to impose votes to approve votes. no whale staker will want something to go against their interest while milking ASR at the same time.
I was super excited to receive ASR and if there is a Jupuary, that will encourage my interest in Jupiter Exchange and products Iâm pretty sure.
The whale, they always like to control the narration whale got 20% Roi in 3month of voting still want volume base reward in jupnuary again, I think if jupnuary actually happen and some pie was allocate to stakers the rewards should base on how long you staked and how many proposals you voted on, this will help to encourage newbies stakers who wish to become a whale oneday. People are more interested in jupnuary criteria content to others proposals this day.
I think we donât have to highlight the whales among all DAO voters. Most likely all of them vote for their own interests, big or small. But generally speaking, voting for our own best is often also best for the project we are supporting. We all have bought JUP because we believe in the project and see big potential with it. DAO voters have thus far voted for establishing Jupiter core working group, several smaller working groups, micro grants so our community contributors has opportunity to get rewarded for their hard work, for the supply reduction and we will also be voting for jupuary.
We want the best possible success for Jupiter and JUP.
Sometimes our opinions differ on what actually is best for us but I believe majority of voters will get it ârightâ.
Thus I encourage everyone who is not yet participating on DAO to participate. It is open for everyone and everyone is more than welcome to join.
Makes sense, after my involvement in the jupuary debates, I believe we can find a solution for jupuary to make it work for all of us. For sure, we have to make compromises but that is part of being in the DAO.
Am confused are stakers not getting an airdrop on a yearly basis to cover for this from the 30% unclaimed Jupiter airdrop round one.
Also can anyone tell me why I canât get my topics posted on here. Tried three already and not approved. Werenât bad or anything.
Stakers are getting ASR ( active staking rewards ) for staking and voting proposals. That is to encourage people participating in the decision making process.
Moderators read and approve / reject new topics. It usually takes a day or two for them to check it once youâve posted it.
Okay thanks. I thought the topics I started were interesting enough to post them here. Stakers should get rewards for sure. Itâs the entire point to staking. Just thought that they are getting quite a lot already to compensate them for holding long term. Not to forget that Jup will be probably 120-150$ by 2030.
the question then becomes should stakers get an extra tier; or; multiplier, or; bonus, or; just overall be included
I think they should be included but the yearly airdrop needs to be concidered plus low voting power stakers need a really fair allocation too.
