Open Letter To Meow, Team And Jup DAO: Jupiverse Is On A Collission Course - DAO Community MUST Arise For Its Rescue

Fair response, what emerges is a possible need to have clearer guidelines for grant seekers to adhere to and thus assist with"

I’m particularly displeased with that $100,000 Catstanbul Bounty, it was obviously rigged, but sometimes (most times actually) you’ve to let the head have it’s way, the body is there to support.

How was it rigged?

I noticed all almost all video content fell within the top 20

Everything I said/say are my personal opinions, & could be subjective.
So the first issue with that campaign was that there were no eligibility or criteria, anything & anyone could win. Fair right? Well, that gave room/an opening for imo all sorts of “funny” contents by “popular” handles/creators to win the prizes, of course they did win it. 7 out of 10 of the winners were all the popular names, even though imo their contents didn’t merit it.
Then of the 60 “winners” or so only 20 were made public initially, in-fact the tweet making the announcement of the winners said the rest winners would be contacted via DM (transparency?). And though the rest winners were later posted that initial tweet raised concerns for me.

It is hard to say so.
You are right to question him saying so with little to no evidence to back it up.

But, considering his further clarification below:

It aligns with what have been advocating for and am now been tagged by some of the team as someone that’s can’t be worked it.

It is simple, when you run private company, do bounty etc, you choose winners however you want (anyone that does not like it can move elsewhere)

But when it’s a DAO community like Jupiverse, care must be taken to carry along the community in such process as much as possible to avoid FUDS. (To be clear no matter how much transparency, there will still be fuds but it will reduce drastically to people with actual bad intentions but when common people with good intentions are left in the dark, then fud sells and spreads like a wide fire easily within the community).

I have written a comprehensive suggestion on how such fuds/distrust around Catstanbul contents could be avoided in future and the DAO need to split Grants and bounties into 2 categories.
Stop pitching the Big creators against small creators in the Jupiverse, the big will always win, the small lose and then you create further division and fuel fuds even more in the jupiverse.

Kindly check it out here:

There was 1 criteria you had to use the word “Catstanbul” in the post so the team selecting it could easily search it.

I only agree with half this statement.
I wouldn’t say any one of them were popular besides ashen. However i do agree that basically anyone who did a vlog, no matter the style, won.

I was one of them. Now you need to find the 69 others :joy: I will admit it took a good few weeks post- too 10 being announced. I didn’t get the money until weeks after that also. I wish they announced all of them !

sorry but this is false.

so many content creators in the Jupiverse started out small and grew bigger and bigger over time.

@lochie2001 is definitely one of them.

@JD-SOL84 is growing fast too.

@miuq grew very quickly as well

@TommyEgan357 also

many such cases.

these hardworking and creative folks constantly get feedback and work on improving their stuffs.

nothing to do with small or big.

Always on defence for what most communities knows and complain about.

The point I said is if you have bounty and competition group into 2. Some are already big creators with large influence and known by the team. There is no way they won’t win first before the smaller creators.

When it’s big creators vs big creators and small creators vs small creators. The playing field is leveled and fair. Even the smaller creators get encouraged to become bigger.

Its a pity Jupiverse isn’t what it’s projected and defended by people like you to be. Tightly controlled by the team and people like you that eat from them defend every issues raised by the common community members (I mean those not earning Jupiter salary directly or indirectly) instead of adjusting (quick to call it false or those speaking out are bad for the community to work with).

I know nothing I say changes the team and how it’s is done but it’s will be on record some people said this in future when all things becomes more clearer.

From previous response from Kash (as seen above) he agreed this is flawed because it should have had a submission flow which it did not.

Searching on X for post with Catstanbul isn’t efficient way of doing this. No mater the tool they use, it will pop up some and leave some in the shadows not discovered at all. As an experienced web2/web3 developer educator myself, you are dealing with API calls which X api is now very costly. So, you can’t pull everything as it will simply become too costly and inefficient thing to do.

More RESPECT for you br.

You have been one of the few here that is close to the team yet openly callout their mistakes to side with the community realistic concerns (most don’t and instead defends it blankly against what’s obvious and against the community voices).

Your response proof my point that DIVERSITY in content creation and their creators is not encouraged in the Jupiverse because the team has certain style of content they like and want (usually vlog and virality content and certain editing style)and anything outside that is met with resistance and if the creator insist, such is tagged bad to work with for the Jupiverse community and blocked (as unqualified) from gaining or winning DAO support/grant/bounty.

Do we all have to become vlog/viral content creators to win competitions/opportunities hosted by acclaimed most inclusive/diversity embracing biggest web3 DAO today?

I guess answer is YES to win from the current team
but
NO if want to keep the Jupiverse a home that embraces creators diversity both in influence and content style.

hey, if you want to base arguments on “facts”, ofcourse we are going to correct it if the “facts” are actually wrong.

there’s nothing controversial about this.

Sure we are both just saying what we believe are fact (I guess none of us is entirely right or wrong here).

Only time will tell where the Jupiverse is heading when team and community are daily growing apart.

Let team continue on its path…

Let community members like me continue on our path…

Time we proof what is true fact…

enough with the double speak and weird vibes, come on.

let’s look at the statement u made:

Stop pitching the Big creators against small creators in the Jupiverse, the big will always win, the small lose and then you create further division and fuel fuds even more in the jupiverse.

I gave u examples of small creators in the Jupiverse that grew from very small followings upwards and many have been funded by Uplink and CAWG as well in their journeys, while others have generally gained traction just from community support throughout.

It’s a very simple point that is based on fact. What you said, about the Big always winning is OBJECTIVELY wrong.

If you cannot see that and simply admit that you are being unreasonable with that comment, you are clearly not engaging in good faith with this discussion. I am happy to admit areas where we make mistakes in and happy to improve processes where there are areas to be improved. That’s the reason we have community feedback channels (via meows, discord, telegram) and very frequent sessions (PPP hours) to gather community feedback live as well.

Please engage in good faith if you want to further this discussion.

I do all in good faith.
Just seems we might not be on same page.

Hope we time we can all align.

Thanks!

Thank you Julz for the words of encouragement and great vibes.

@Foskaay there is definitely room for everyone in the Jupiverse, specifically when you focus and believes in the value you have to offer.

I’ve seen your teaching and lessons material on X, so definitely the potential is there. I invite you to come to the PPP hour every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday @ 1400 UTC, get some constructive feedback, and start from there.

There is not need to stand in the sidelines (PPP) is for all of us to grow together (small like me) or big like some other creators, we are there to learn and grow the Jupiverse together.

Looking forward to see you there, fam.

nice to read this support and encourage ..this is the best group, warm, sometimes controversies build stronger bases and roots! Love you people. Best wishes! I’m listening to all of you and it’s my favorite tool to learn.

I, like 100s of others posted “Catstanbul” but didn’t qualify nor won any prizes (No, I wasn’t interested in the bounty).
The other winners were posted later, it’s on juplink acc, however I insist that many of the winners were very well known content creators/accounts, tbh I’m taken aback that you say you don’t know them, well, I know most of them.

Brother, I’m gonna have to tell you you’re wrong here.

It’s not smalll fish vs small fish or big fish vs big fish.

It’s “you eat what you kill” . If you wanna eat a fat deer, you go and hunt one.

“Eat what you kill” means relying solely on your own efforts and accomplishments for sustenance or reward, implying self-sufficiency and taking responsibility for your own success .

For me, I wanted to grow my x account so I worked my ass off showing up daily

Show me your post. I’ll give it an honest rating out of 10.

Not fake shit.

I’ll be brutally honest if I think you deserve it.

Completely agree with @lochie2001.

I would recommend something I did. If you find it helpful consider following them.

  1. Check what is working for the big content creators.
  2. Check if they have interviews where they share how they grew. You can DM them as well. Many are open to share their inputs.
  3. Experiment with your content to see what is working for you and what is not working.

Infact I have also taken few tips from him on how to craft better threads on X. He has grown so fast and is an inspiration. And these tips I haven’t taken directly by asking him. He has an interview in Catstanbul. I went though the interview and figured out some valuable insights on X threads.
I still experiment on my content. Some of them go viral some of them hardly get any likes. But at the end of the day I am improving bit by bit and know what works and what doesnt.

Again these are the steps I have followed. It is upto your discretion if you want to follow them or not.
