No cat should be left behind

At this point, I’m down for whatever.

But from my perspective, It wasn’t clear what “active partipation” meant beyond just voting on proposals. Vote = participation = reward. no other details were provided until the month of. I thought things would be airdropped. I also actively recruiting many normies, participated in forums, spent many hours, added more to pot, was much excite. I’m pretty sure thats active lol?

Also, “passive participants” who vote on ALL proposals but don’t check in as frequently may still have 10’s thousands of Jup locked. Thats liquidity staying in the system. Think that still amazing for the eco.

Anyway, it can be argued that its flawed since one can vote on all proposals picking random options, never participate in forums or even look at it, and still get rewards. All they need to be is someone that goes on X frequently. Are these people “Active”? I would argue not so much. Yet under this system, they still benefit over the other that does it all except misses the reward window because he is not active on X (due to prioritizing IRL - which is healthy ;).

Anyway, as mentioned - down or whatever. I appreciate everyone giving time to this.

Hope things have been well for everyone.

Btw… just read the J4J. 215m seems alot for unclaimed. Just saying.

Anyway, think we need to be clear on claim process and timing for all users (put on website). Lets make sure we don’t let cats be left behind on the next round.

And what do you guys think about like an email list service? Wonder how many would sign up for updates there.

Btw, I only missed one vote in the first half of the year. Like I said, did a bunch. But still missed. Whatever, just don’t tell me I’m not active. There’s a bunch of people that don’t actually care enough to even look at the forums. Ie. degens that recruited me lol. And I’m still here. Talking to the computer…

I think that’s a great proposal, as most of us that didnt claim, i stacked my jup simce beginning, participed in all vote but i always thought the reward were airdropped to our wallet so i didnt claim.

It was the first claim and with the birth of my daughter i just didnt have time to follow on discord that we would have to claim our reward in such a small window.
So i think as a one of for the first claim we shouldn’t leave any cat behind

As Iamme mentioned a solution that i think should please the most which is, as a one off, let the people that didn’t claim the first round of ASR claim during the second claim of ASR.

Reasoning is if you didn’t know about first claim you should by now so active staker/voter should have a chance to redeem what they missed for touching grass during summer or whatever the reason.

We will see what the team will come up
Trust me ; No cat will be left out

I wrote a new thread with ideas to revise this whole process. ASR should just be for JUP imo and never need to “claim” it again.

Trust me Bro ; We will see and observe.

And those users will need to fill in a form and explain how they could not claim?

If they can
But the stress of finding the owner of the wallets so they can fill the form is much
Just autostaked it in there wallet

The current claiming system for Active Staking Rewards (ASR) introduces unnecessary complexity and undermines the core principles of blockchain technology—automation, fairness, and decentralization. Instead of requiring users to manually claim their rewards, the system should automatically add ASR to staked tokens as soon as participation is verified. This ensures that every eligible participant receives their rewards without risking losses due to technical issues, unclear communications, or time constraints.

By automating the reward process, the Jupiter ecosystem would be more inclusive and fair. No user should be denied their earned rewards simply because of a manual step that could easily be handled by a smart contract. This adjustment aligns with the principles of fairness, ensuring that NO CAT IS LEFT BEHIND.

Furthermore, allowing unclaimed ASR to be automatically staked would boost participation in governance by giving more users voting power in upcoming proposals. This approach fosters a healthier, more decentralized ecosystem where the collective voice of the community is strengthened, ensuring that the governance process reflects a wider range of perspectives.

To correct any oversights and promote inclusivity, users who missed claiming their rewards should still be given the opportunity to receive their unclaimed ASR. I want to recommend that the Jupiter team stake these rewards on the JUP DAO and send them directly to the qualified users’ wallets or allow a reclaim during the second round of ASR claiming. This not only ensures that all stakeholders are treated fairly but also enhances community trust, encouraging further participation and growth in the Jupiter ecosystem.

Automating ASR claiming system may seem beneficial, but it could actually reduce user engagement and responsibility in the ecosystem. By requiring users to manually claim their rewards, the system promotes active participation and ensures that only those truly invested in the community benefit. Additionally, introducing automation could lead to new technical vulnerabilities, such as smart contract bugs or unforeseen exploits. The current system provides transparency and user control, essential elements in a decentralised environment. Simplification shouldn’t come at the cost of reducing user involvement and oversight.

I mean even in the FAQ of the DAO it’s says that being active is staking jup and voting for proposal and it doesn’t specify that you will have only 30 days to claim.
I thought jupiter was community centered but if feel so punitive to stake and vote for more than 6 month and have only a month to claim your reward

The DAO

Q: What are the rewards for voting?
A: Jupiter’s reward program is known as ASR (Active Stake Rewards). It incentivizes users to actively participate. To earn rewards, lock your $JUP at https://vote.jup.ag/ and vote on proposals when they go live. Rewards are earned by voting, based on your voting power, and distributed quarterly with the first distribution in July 2024. The rewards are a combination of $JUP tokens from JUP’s LFG fees and individual tokens from LFG launches (0.75% of their token supply).

30 days is more than enough.
If you really cared about jup you’d check it daily lol (like me)

Hope the below clear communication helps you to get over it. There were several mention of it on the Jupiter official communication portals in discord, YouTube planetary calls and many influencers made videos about it, on Reddit, in the DAO etc and the tweet below from the official Jupiter exchange website captured it even better. Also go and watch yesterday’s planetary call where Soju explained what will happen with the 4M unclaimed ASR Jup and where it’s been kept at the moment. Can we move on now from this please? It’s already time for the next ASR tomorrow.

That’s not the point though and yeah i hate discord format so i get punished for it
And if it was more than enough why did they extend it ^^

And twitter algo is shit now, how can this be reliable source of info for such a small claiming window

Yeah I understand. They have put an email notification system down now. Should be no excuses for anyone now

Soju just said it’s in the multisig he doesn’t talk about what is going to happen to it. What am i suppose to do with a X post ? Where is the proposal for ASR and the claim window on the voting platform?

Sorry the tweet is not of any help. Just incase you didn’t border to read through it, it states clearly:

“ Unclaimed ASR Need a Home
There is a 30 day claim window for ASR, but not everyone will claim. After discussion, we’ve decided to send any unclaimed ASR funds back to the DAO treasury. The DAO can decide what to do with it in the future.”

This was repeated countless time in the DAO, on X, in discord, planetary calls etc. Sorry you missed all those reminders. I will leave there.

Not my point but yeah i can read thank you.
Point is as a airdrop staker since day one and voter of all proposal why am i not considered as active, we put in place a voting platform why do i have to go discord or X to get news on the dao decisions
