New Working Group to Foster/Cultivate Memes that can boost the Solana/Jupiter ecosystem

Proposal: Create a working group/committee to cultivate/select/market select groups of meme tokens. As we all know, memes are an effective way to build community around projects that resonate with users. The problem is there are too many fly by night memes and no easy way to filter out these projects from the memes that are constructive towards the Jupiter/Solana ecosystem. Lets build a team that can hand pick communities/projects that are best reflected in memes/projects that reflect the interest of users.

Scope: The working group can be community members that have a good understanding of the community and its projects. They can form the basis of the research that can be done towards projects that have minimum community engagement/mindshare/interests and look to reach out to these projects to evaluate their effectiveness within a group of Jupiter/Solana promoted ecosystem. This will help guide users towards their projects/memes which resonate well with them, instead of blindlessly looking for projects/memes that have high dispersion of engagement on X or various other sources. The working group can also collaborate with high profile characters on the Solana/ Jupiter ecosystem to help build mindshare and get a good grasp of projects/memes that the ecosystem is missing (we have a lot of cat/dog memes, can we focus on the ones with great community, perhaps we have other projects that could be complementary to the main communities).

Please join me in proposing a grant to fund a working group that can get this up and running and making Solana/Jupiter the most community centric meme space in web3.

Memes are just fads that pass :expressionless:
Very very few fall in the category to reflect interest of users

Thanks for the input - it is appreciated.

I agree with you, that’s why those with real community value should be cultivated. Identified from an early stage and its community given support.

Avalanche has the same for its network. If we could promote the major communities, then it at least gives them a space to thrive. Weeding out those that are pure junk.

Appreciate your comment though!
