Before I start, let me tell you that English is not my first language. Sorry for the eventual mistakes.
Lots of post regarding Jupuary season 2. After reading many of them, I got to the conclusion that most of us want a reward as big as possible from the next Jupuary.
In my humble opinion there should be some goals behind Jupuary, like:
onboarding new quality users
keeping quality users
growing the DAO
keeping or growing the number of quality contributors
What’s the key word here? QUALITY
I said it before and I’ll say it again: the lifeline of any exchange are the fees generated. Without the fees you won’t be able to survive. Without the fees you won’t be able to grow.
You guys can say whatever you want but this is the reality.
I will guarantee you that I won’t sell my Jup tokens some time this year? NO
I will guarantee you that I will be staking more than 1k tokens by the end of the year? NO
There is one thing that I can guarantee you. My trading will always happen on Jupiter, unless something unbearable happens.
I won’t talk numbers but you won’t be able to make everyone happy. That’s why I think the focus of this airdrop should be on the users that are making a difference for the platform.
It doesn’t matter how much you love the cats, you won’t be able to feed every homeless cat. Just an opinion.
Lots of drama regarding the price of JUP token after the airdrop. Nothing you can do. With or without Jupuary, in my opinion, we’ll see a good chunk of staked token, unstacked in the next couple of months. Why? According to many, we are approaching the last phase of the Bull market and, I assume many of the stakers will take some profits during the rest of the year. What probably will help a bit with the price of JUP, will be a vesting schedule for the airdrop.
Thank you for creating such an amazing platform and good luck!
In case you didn’t see it, I included your feedback about Jupiter perps in the latest version of my proposal and increased the allocation 6X, resulting in a fair and balanced allocation according to the volume and fees paid.
In regards to your comment about the purpose of Jupuary, this has been discussed:
I did see it. I appreciate your research and work. I think the team already figured it out regarding the criteria. Probably the biggest problem for them will be balancing the allocations.
It’s going to be impossible to make everyone happy.
Wouldn’t disagree with any of these. Well done for making your contributions. Important that a lot of people contribute to this debate in their own ways. That’s what makes this DAO exceptional.
I am comforted by the fact that we have a well informed, capable & solid Jup team that scan through these discussions, debates and above that all; had that vision of Jupuary even before we got involved in it. So I will trust on them to do the right thing.
