Jupuary criteria ($jupSOL & $JLP)

Hey to everyone

Just watched the rally and something that I noticed is that I didn’t see anything about holding $jupSOL and $JLP.

IMO this 2 assets are important because these are Jupiter products aswell. What’s your take on that?

Greetings

I agree with you. I also converted my jitoSOL to jupSOL because I want to support Jupiter. Even though they didn’t offer me anything extra, I don’t mind. But deep down, I do hope Jupiter will reward those who support the Jupiter validator in some way.

He mentioned $JLP wont be included as expert trader volume as its seperate. Good investment on its own

They each give their own ROI. Priority is on $JUP voting, staking, buying, holding and using JUP.ag and products.

jupSOL gives you higher ROI than normal SOL staking, because Jupiter gives all validator MEV rewards to you. This is on top of the native staking yields on your SOL.

$JLP is up 4x this year.

using the platform …and staking is enought to be able to receive our airdrop …i think is implicit

I think the major difference of holding JLP and Jupsol is along the lines of Passive contribution as its more a of a do it once and forget about it type of action. Plus its liquid so its doesn’t show any real long term alignment.

I agree with some of the comments here around JLP and JUPsol holders already getting other benefits.

One thing (and I can’t find a proper thread to put this in), is that, aside from needing some more info around the expert trader tiering, I’d like to see the team look more at fees paid rather than volume driven - because it would be easy for those top account to just spam volume in anticipation of airdrop. While actual traders are holding positions and paying more in fees. This was mentioned a lot in prior eligibility threads and it seems a bit of a no-brainer - perhaps someone from Jup team can comment.

To my knowledge Jup Swaps charge no fees. so not sure if taking that into account would matter.

Have you seen the return on jupSOL & JLP? :joy: I have because I hold. I think we’ll be ok if holders of these aren’t explicitly earmarked an allocation.

Sorry for not being clearer - I was talking specifically about the “expert trader” segment of the airdrop, not the swap segment.
