Jupiter Regional

The Jupiverse is a collective of highly passionate community members, users, engineers, and working groups. So far, in the past 9 months since the $JUP airdrop, this community has massively stayed online.

However, we want to nurture the Jupiverse and grow regional efforts around the world.

If you’re someone who:

  • Is passionate about Jupiter, Jupiverse, and the suite of products and initiatives we are tackling
  • Enjoy local/regional/in person interaction, such as organizing events, booths, and dinners

We’re looking to work with folks like yourself, grow the Jupivese, and achieve the meta together.

How to Get Started

We believe in empowering passionate members of the community to get started. If you’re interested in growing a regional presence, we have a simple playbook for you to get started.

Jupiter Product Booths

Jupiter has tons of products, namely Jup.ag, Jupiter Mobile, and Ape.pro. We also have the governance platform, at vote.jup.ag.

We want to encourage users and folks to try out these platforms for the first time, and collect feedback on which steps of the journey are difficult to cross, or cause friction/resistance.

The team will then incorporate this feedback to improve the products. We can do this by running booths, similar to the one that Waterloo University did.

Key Pointers:

  • Track how many people interacted with the funnel, and where/why did they churn or lose interest in the platform/story.
  • Talk to users, and understand suggestions from them. Send these suggestions to the team (or myself)
  • Take photos, post on Twitter! JupiterExchange will amplify these efforts, and you get noticed by the rest of the community.

To get started, pitch a simple idea to 0xSoju on Telegram. We will provide cost funding for free drinks, ice cream, or anything you want to give away at the event/booth.

If you have any community based roles I’d 100% be interested!

It’s hard to brainstorm what exactly what you need but I’m sure a lot of people would be interested.

While I don’t currently have time to set up any event, I would be very interested in anything Amsterdam meetups!

Great idea to bring more IRL presence to the Jupiverse, will definitely spur positivity and exciting developments.

I join with my colleague @lochie2001 , if there is any position that focuses on the community I would like to be there helping. The only drawback is my language, I don’t speak English very fluently and I have to translate almost everything written. So far it has not been a problem for me to communicate here but… it is a point to keep in mind. :+1:t3::fleur_de_lis:

I think there’s an easy way to get started:

  1. (Optional): Pitch me your idea, and ask for a small ($300) funding to execute it
  2. Execute the onboarding session, maybe a booth somewhere in a University, take photos, show people Jupiter, and ask them what they think
  3. Post a twitter thread of the photos, share your learnings on Twitter

I’ll see the thread, work with engineering team to implement improvements, and the Jupiverse has an improved product + more catdets!

@NYSoul did present a proposal that shared almost similar goals to this.

The nature of my job makes it tough to do anything like this full time but will be interested to tap in to anything like this around the UK and see if I can contribute in some ways.

Awesome! Sent you a FR and hope you can lead UK and help with part of Europe, if you have time, ofc.

Tough for me to lead this now due to the nature of and schedule of my job. I am able to assist in some form but not able to lead as my work schedule is chaotic.

That’s a great way. I’ll keep an eye out for any relevant conventions or opportunities and I’d be down.

I feel crypto meet ups or smaller scale conventions around the world would be great

My only feedback is- if we are gonna do a booth of some sort, it’s gotta look legit, not just a sign with a couple of posters tapped to a table.

My university always has stalls going on, maybe a spin the wheel to win $JUP could onboard new people?

I.e. you must download jup wallet, fund it with $50 and you spin the wheel to win anywhere from 10-50 $JUP?

(Happy for anyone to steal this idea).

This is a nice idea.
Giving out incentives to attract interest is such a proven marketing tactic. Glad you don’t mind it being stolen. lol

Jm Jm ser,

If these are the simplified steps, my team n I came up with Jupiverse connect to reach more persons IRL…tho we didn’t reach out to university students on campus we gathered them together in a chill spot talked to them about Jupiter; a basic intro to what the Jupiverse entails.

we made sure they joined the discord…we haven’t dropped a picture thread yet (some minor issues) we still editing and also did a couple of interviews to get feedback from those who attended (and weren’t camera shy) to be posted soon, this what we have on ground a little glimpse of how the day went

Also, we need to get merch like t-shirt, sweaters etc. A company that can also help distribute it worldwide so each region can get the “official” merch and use as incetives/ prizes

This is a great idea, many people can be discouraged to follow a project because of the language barrier, the work of @jupipotes on X is exeptionel ! Their effort to make information about Jupiter accessible to the French-speaking community is incredible.

Chaman has our full support to continue breaking down these barriers and growing the community!
