Jupiter Product Academy - Work group Idea

:rocket: Jupiter Product Academy - Work Group Proposal :rocket:

Jupiter moves fast—sometimes too fast for the community to keep up. With new product releases happening almost weekly, there’s a gap in clear, accessible guides for both existing and new Jupiter tools.

:pushpin: The Problem
Jupiter’s dev team is focused on building, but communication of updates and tutorials often takes a backseat. They dont have the time or resources to breakdown every new update to the bone, more often then not, its not even tweeted by jupiters main twitter account!

• Features like limit orders on perps remain unknown to many, hence many people stay clear of them due to lack of education.

• The $JUP buyback wallet was only shared on a personal account, with no centralized announcement. This may have been an informal way of announcing a significant event.

:pushpin: The Solution: Jupiter Product Academy

A dedicated work group focused on educating the community through step-by-step tutorials on all Jupiter products—both current and future.

This lightens the load on the team, letting them focus on innovation, while we ensure users can actually understand and use these tools effectively.

The goals is for brand new products, updates or changes to be explained by us to keep the community educated!

:pushpin: How It Works

:white_check_mark: Comprehensive How-To Guides → Hosted on Jup.com & shared via Twitter, Discord & YouTube

:white_check_mark: Video Tutorials & Infographics → Easy-to-follow, “Crypto for Dummies” style

:white_check_mark: Live Support → Answering community questions, helping mods & directing users

:white_check_mark: Community-Driven Education → Raising awareness about underutilized tools like VA, DCA, Perps, and Trenches

:pushpin: Trial Period & Funding

:clock3: 8 week trial

:moneybag: Budget: $10K USDC

$135 for Canva & design tools

Socials & community-building events - such a live AMA and gatherings

:pushpin: Why This Matters

Right now, only a small % of fees come from tools like VA, DCA, and other Jupiter products—we believe this is because many users simply don’t understand them.

More fees = Bigger revenue

Bigger revenue = more 50% $JUP buy back - holders win. The team also wins.

:rocket: A more educated community = stronger Jupiter ecosystem = higher protocol usage & adoption.

:pushpin: Key Milestones

:spiral_calendar: First 3 months: Cover every Jupiter product:

• Staking + Voting

Jupiter Ultra & Perps

JLP & JUPSOL

Jupiter Trenches

How slippage works

Crypto safety & avoiding honeypots

Much, much more.

:pushpin: Scaling Over Time

Once all existing products are covered, we’ll ensure all new products come with a detailed guide upon launch. The idea is for this is to be sent to jupiters main twitter account to be posted as it goes live.

With Jupiter’s rapid pace of innovation, this work group is essential for onboarding new users & ensuring full product adoption.

:pushpin: Key Performance Indicators

We will measure the success of this work group through:

:bar_chart: Engagement Metrics → Twitter impressions, YouTube tutorial views

:chart_with_upwards_trend: Daily Fee Impact → Encouraging more users to actively engage with Jupiter tools

:hammer_and_wrench: User Confidence → Making Jupiter the most user-friendly DeFi platform on Solana

:pushpin: Meet the Team

Although we have research pages and articles addressing this, I feel many people aren’t big in going through all the technicalities just to understand the basics of how to use some of the project and shy away from ever trying them out.

Simple tutorials would be a big step in helping people try out and explore the whole scope of what Jupiter has to offer.

Also I really appreciate you guys not limiting this just to jupiter but also a lot of scam and malicious schemes out in the web3 woods. Whatever we can do to keep fellow community members safe counts!

Hey @iSAK! Appreciate your feedback.

Yes, our goal is to make our Academy sort of a “one-stop shop” for all things related to Jupiter in addition to providing additional alpha and tips to avoid common scams/honeypots in the industry.

Also, many people currently only engage with Jupiter on a surface level via holding JUP. Though this isn’t a bad thing per se, there is so much more that Jupiter offers than just a token. We hope to educate and onboard these people and also new individuals to Jupiter’s awesome suite of products. :relieved:

Thank you for the feedback bro.

We want everyone to become experts in these products.

Picture this we have 500+ cadets who know these products off by heart- imagine how easy it would be to onboard new users?

Honestly I think this is a great idea. The only challenge is this working group would need to have access to the various social media accounts in part to post updates without putting a strain on the team. Am still also hopeful a tg would be added to the Jup ecosystem. Personally I don’t get all the updates in time even though I am on quite a number of platforms and also had to work out most of Jupiters tools over time. I am happy to help if I can.

Appreciate the feedback! I think we would be fine as long as it’s an account that’s promoted by the primary Jupiter twitter acccount. Also, it would be nice if we are allowed some sort of announcement perms in the discord.

I agree with you on the TG part. A lot of folks in the crypto space use TG, and it would be a great way to disseminate info. :relieved:

The idea is we have the post ready to go for them! At least that’s how I’d like to see it go

Hey @Lochie & @Sheva, $10K USDC budget grant for example 8 weeks = $1,250 per week. This could be a solid deal if your team delivers high-quality content which I believe you can. It seems reasonable, but will like to highlight a few things for consideration:

Let me begin with strengths of this proposal:

:white_check_mark: Clearly identifies a real problem – Lack of proper documentation & education is a recurring issue in fast-moving DeFi projects.

:white_check_mark: Logical & scalable solutions – Guides, tutorials, and community engagement can directly increase adoption and revenue.

:white_check_mark: Defined KPIs – Measuring success through engagement, fee impact, and user confidence is a strong approach.

I suggest you consider some tweaks:

  1. Clearer budget allocation – Break down the $10K into specific deliverables for example: writing & design, video production, community events social media & engagement & reserve for unexpected costs.
  2. More concrete success metrics – what target numbers should define success? E.g., twitter impressions: X per post, YouTube views: X per tutorial, Increase in usage of underutilised Jupiter tools by X%
  3. Plan for longevity – If this works, how will future funding be structured? Consider a phased approach where success unlocks additional funding.

Bottom Line:
$10K is fair for an initial pilot grant but refining the budget breakdown and defining clear success targets will strengthen the proposal. If executed well, this initiative could significantly improve Jupiter’s ecosystem engagement.

I appreciate the comprehensive approach outlined in the proposal to bridge the education gap for Jupiter’s rapidly evolving suite of products. The idea of establishing a dedicated work group to create clear, accessible how-to guides, video tutorials, and live support is both timely and necessary. By doing so, the academy will not only alleviate the communication burden on the development team but also empower the community to fully utilize tools like limit orders, VA, DCA, perps, and more.

Key Strengths:

  • Focused Educational Content: The proposal clearly identifies the problem—Jupiter’s frequent product releases leaving many users behind—and offers a targeted solution. The plan to develop “Crypto for Dummies” style guides and infographics is spot on.
  • Multi-Channel Outreach: Hosting guides on Jup.com and disseminating content through Twitter, Discord, and YouTube ensures broad reach and accessibility.
  • Live Support and Community-Driven Education: Offering live support and interactive sessions (like AMAs) fosters community engagement and ensures users get timely help.
  • Trial Period & Funding: An 8-week trial with a clear budget allocation ($10K USDC) provides a good runway to test the concept before scaling.
  • KPIs & Milestones: Measuring success through engagement metrics, fee impact, and user confidence offers tangible targets to gauge effectiveness.

Suggestions & Tweaks:

  • Define Specific Metrics: While KPIs are mentioned, adding more granular targets (e.g., number of guides published, YouTube views, or a percentage increase in daily fees from underutilized tools) would provide clearer benchmarks for success.
  • Structured Roadmap: Consider a phased roadmap with short-term, mid-term, and long-term milestones. For instance, in addition to the first 3 months covering current products, outline plans for content updates or iterative improvements as new features are released.
  • Feedback Mechanism: Establish a dedicated feedback loop (such as a periodic survey or community Q&A sessions) to continuously refine the educational material based on user responses.
  • Collaborative Integration: Explore closer collaboration with Jupiter’s dev and comms teams to ensure that the academy’s content is always up-to-date with product releases. This could include a “content freeze” period before major launches.
  • Marketing & Promotion Plan: In addition to hosting the content on existing channels, consider partnering with influencers or running targeted social media campaigns to boost visibility of the academy’s resources.
  • Scalability & Sustainability: Address potential scalability by outlining how the work group might expand if the trial period is successful—consider identifying additional contributors or securing recurring funding from the DAO.

Overall, the Jupiter Product Academy proposal is a well-conceived initiative that directly addresses current challenges in user education and product adoption. With these additional tweaks, it could become a cornerstone for community empowerment and long-term growth in the Jupiter ecosystem.

I hope this feedback proves useful in refining the proposal further!

Was a pleasure catching up @Pythonia at Catstanbul. Lochie always wants to do things right and it’s only fair that we give him constructive feedback which he’s asked for as he’s already doing most of these things out of passion for the project. I believe @lochie2001 & his team can pull this off as proposal gathers support to its final phase.

Appreciate the feedback, guys! Will post a more detailed breakdown of the budget once I draft one up and consult with Lochie. I’ll try to have something by the start of the week.

Great question brother. It’s hard to break down the exact budget as it may be subject to change.

But most of it will cover the time we invest into it. I believe we worked it out to be $25 / hour if we both put in 40+ hour weeks (which we plan on doing).

We will work 7 days a week for the trial period.

After that (should the group be successful and we go beyond trial) we will revisit budget once again. Do we look at decreasing it since most products will be cover by that point?

Or do we increase it to further enhance the quality?

@Klbkch will break down the full budget more specifically when he wakes up

So the idea is : we cover the existing products JUP has. Anything that gets announced during the trial period we will also cover

After this, we will cover products that are emerging . This may lead us to save on budget and perhaps cut it down. The bulk of the until budget is to cover the existing products
