Jupiter Horizon: Current Work and Future Vision

As many of you know, I’ve been developing Jupiter Horizon as a specialized AI chatbot designed to make the Jupiter ecosystem more accessible and navigable - JupHorizon.com. Today, I’d like to share what I’m currently working on and my vision for the future of this project.

Current Development Focus

I’m actively working on several key improvements to enhance Jupiter Horizon’s capabilities:

  • General Web Scraper: Creating a more versatile system to access content from multiple websites including the new dev.jup.ag, Zendesk guides, and more
  • Fixing Source Ingestion: After identifying a notable bug with the Twitter Scraper, I’m rebuilding the entire scraping architecture to be more reliable and efficient
  • Mermaid Diagrams: Implementing support for visual diagrams to help explain concepts more clearly
  • Automatic Video Summaries: Developing functionality to generate concise summaries of videos like Office Hours and Planetary Calls, without human intervention

Future Enhancements for Jupiter Horizon

Improving the Core Chatbot

My vision for Jupiter Horizon’s future includes several exciting enhancements:

  • Category-based Retrieval: Organizing information by categories (fundamentals, technical docs, governance, community resources) for more targeted and relevant responses. I’ve been sketching out some architectural ideas for how this system could work effectively.
  • Content Evaluation: Implementing systems to reduce noise and improve the quality of retrieved documents. I’ve been exploring different approaches that could help filter and prioritize the most relevant information.
  • Terminology Specialization: Making Jupiter Horizon better at understanding and explaining Jupiter-specific terms and concepts
  • Enhanced Image Handling: Enabling the chatbot to better process and utilize images from various sources
  • Discord Integration: Creating a seamless experience for users to interact with Jupiter Horizon directly from Discord
  • UI Improvements: Upgrading the website interface to make it more intuitive and user-friendly
  • “Horizon Developer Mode”: A specialized version focused on technical assistance for developers (this will be challenging but potentially very valuable)

Transforming into a Knowledge Platform

Beyond just a chatbot, I envision Jupiter Horizon becoming a comprehensive knowledge platform:

  • Daily Summaries: Automated digests of important Jupiter updates and information
  • Automatic Video Summaries: I’m working on systems that can analyze Office Hours, Planetary Calls, and other community videos to extract key information without requiring manual processing
  • Twitter Integration: Sharing summaries and insights via Twitter threads. Additionally, the AI would be able to reply to relevant posts with valuable (not generic) information, and answer questions in a similar but more concise manner than on the website
  • Centralized Information Hub: Making all these resources available on Juphorizon.com as a one-stop overview of Jupiter ecosystem activities

Integration Suggestions

I have some ideas for potential integrations that could make Jupiter Horizon more accessible:

  • Integration with the upcoming jup.com website
  • Adding Jupiter Horizon links in the jup.ag “More” tab
  • Creating a direct access point from jupiverse.zendesk.com
  • Deeper Discord integration for easier community access

These are just suggestions, and I’d appreciate any help with connecting to the right people on the core team to discuss these possibilities. I believe these integrations could significantly help with user onboarding into crypto and enhance the overall Jupiter experience. If you know who I should be talking to about these ideas, please let me know and/or can bring me into contact with them!

Community Awareness

I’ve realized I need to improve awareness of Jupiter Horizon within the community. While I try to make posts about it, I’m not the best content creator, and my reach isn’t that extensive.

Recently, I reached out to several creators to share information about Jupiter Horizon, and the response was eye-opening. Their posts reached a much wider audience, and many people in the comments expressed gratitude for learning about this tool they hadn’t previously heard of.

I’m considering a reward system where community members could earn JUP tokens for creating quality posts about Jupiter Horizon. As a fun twist, I’m exploring whether the AI itself could evaluate and score these contributions!

Personal Context & Commitment

I should mention that I’m balancing this project with my full-time Computer Science studies, which involve multiple other projects and significant study time. I’m also trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle with regular fitness and a social life.

Despite these commitments, I’m dedicated to pushing Jupiter Horizon forward because I truly believe in the Jupiverse and am passionate about building tools that help people navigate it. The upcoming development plans will require additional resources, a ton of time, and considerable effort – but I’m happy to invest these because I’m excited about the potential impact.

I’m currently working on my application for my Second Grant to secure the resources needed to continue everything. I’ve been able to stretch the funds from my previous grant a little longer than expected due to some good decisions with spending, but I am running out (AI can be expensive!).

I’ll soon have exams again, which might temporarily slow my progress, but afterward, I’ll have vacation time to focus 100% on this project.

Your Input Is Crucial

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this direction and genuinely welcome any constructive feedback or suggestions for how Jupiter Horizon can better serve the community. Your input is absolutely essential for guiding the development of this tool – I’m building this for you, and I want to create something that people truly love and use regularly.

Wow, you’re doing a great job!

“Automatic video summaries” this is definitely the best thing you can do and it would make your job 100% easier and we would get the information we need from the call, rally or working group meeting!

Keep it up, you have a big support from me! :green_heart:

Great but if I can make a constructive criticism you should create a longer memory 24 hours without recording

Jupiter Horizon AI is built by Google, but has been customized by Jupiter’s AI Working Group (AIWG) to assist users of the platform. (help for those who don’t want to read for hours)
