Who is tracking all this “active participation” on different platforms and how?
This is impossible task.
POAPs shouldn’t not be rewarded or at least with a very small portion just because of the reason I said. They can be bought so it doesn’t make sense to reward someone that just bought the POAP instead of being actually on the planetary call.
And even then, the POAPs are just a way to prove you are on the planetary call. You have much more impact by being active member on discord helping other users, making threads on X, etc. etc.
so what that they can be bought?
this is no problem at all because nobody knows how high the reward or multiplier would be before buying the POAPs. i doubt that somebody is going to spend nearly a thousand of dollars to buy all POAPS without even knowing if and how they would be rewarded.
so this argumentation doesn’t make sense. IMO
regarding your point with rewarding social commitment on twitter, discord, youtube, i totally agree because i have the PPP mindset BUT you have to think about the cats that are not native to the english language and therefore are just not able to create big amounts of content for the wide audience.
sorry but i still smell the greed and fear.
PLAYER PUMP PLAYER
But by being bought you are rewarding someone that has money and decided to buy and is no where near a DAO member. Dont really understand that point of greed when Im mentioning giving a % to active members that actually contribute something to the community with threads.
JUP is international. If you cant write on english, write in tour own language.
You are the One that Im smelling hard greed because you have POAPs and nothing else and want a multiplier on that. I want to BE fair and I want to give a boost for actual active members (I’m not active on discord, Reddit or Twitter. But its fair because those people put in the work to spread JUP and help users, something the poap holders dont do)
loI i myself have 2 POAPS so i don’t expect anything big from them but i don’t begrudge others, who managed to get more POAPS, or maybe even the full set of POAPs, unlike you sadly.
Regarding content creation in other languages, there is the problem of very limited audience.e.g. dutch, polish, finish and so on.
moreover i did say that i totally agree with the idea of rewarding cats that are very active on social media, didn’t i? but not every cat has the same chance and possibilities because of the reason stated above.
i am very confident that rewarding POAP holders significantly would double if not triple the weekly Planetary Call viewers.
this would benefit the whole community and not your PvP approach. this is it. i am out to touch some grass;-)

I think you cover many areas where some Jupiter user has participated, and more so all of us who have used the entire ecosystem organically and tested Jupiter products, although I don’t think it’s that easy to take everything by user, they’ll probably make it simpler, I’m delighted to be here and be part of this governance.
how about you READ first and than talk nonsense. i already stated that i have 2 POAPs and iam not expecting anything from them.
you registered 3hours ago and and literally read for 2 minutes before posting your nonsense reply so give me a break dude.( I can see it in your profile, you probably not aware of it)
btw my first jup airdrop was 200 jup and guess what, i bought 4800 more jup since then.
go study PPP
My idea for jupuary
by percentage:
User 60%, community 20%, DAO 20%
-
User (60%)
Main: Volume. feature like DCA, Lo, perp, etc as multiplier -
Community (20%)
Catdet role, cats of culture, working group etc -
DAO (20%)
Voter
A really well thought out proposal Carl, thanks for taking the time to put it in front of the community. Seems like a massive job for the team to collect all these metrics and then convert to airdrop allocations.
I’d vote to support this proposal
It looks impossible but it is possible
OK. Explain how? How and with what resoures you link people to one account (Solana address) so you can distribute rewards fairly? Who is the judge of what is good and proper participation and activity?
Hey, I thought this was a great post!
I did have one general thought when reading this, and the rest of the thread though…
I feel like JUP need to be quite brutal in how they go about establishing the airdrop and delivering it. For example, I remember last Jupuary the team spent a huge amount of time reviewing requests from people that may or may not have been able to creep into higher tiers - I remember listening to Meow talk about it and thinking, “wow, they are really going above and beyond to give back” - but given all the growth on the protocol (and likely airdrop farming) - if that happens again they are probably going to be completely overloaded by requests which would just take far too long to resolve the actual Jupuary, and take them away from doing what they love - building JUP.
Obviously there is a balance to helping people, but just a random thought I had…
Nothing is impossible.
LFG!
Those are just words. It’s easy to say, but when someone tells you to actually do it, you’re nowhere to be found.
Hey there, thanks for the reply,
From what I’ve observed, Meow and the team are very accommodating towards the community, which I believe is a positive quality. Their openness, passion and ability to spend time trying to make things right with the community is amazing and has contributed greatly to the growth of the community we see today. I hope they continue to embrace this approach, as it will further strengthen and expand the community in my opinion. Building JUP is on many levels and them spending that time on requests is a big part of that in my opinion.
I am sure they may find a way to filter through certain request to make their review process easier and more manageable.
It was a great thought thanks for sharing.
You can’t expect me to here all the day, did you ?
Now answering your question.
Last JUPUARY
We have good cat of which everyone that thinks they had contributed to JUPUARY in one way or then order were asked to submit there contributions.
People who have made the contributions submitted it and they all got the reward from 1% of jup allocated to good cats allocation with the role hodlers getting based reward based on the role they got
Same approach can be make this time.
I think niche criteria is always a good thing. Most people accept their poor drop if they never hit the niche. While it makes active users feel valued. Imo
TlDR
Niche criteria good
Explain a little bit further
The process
Active voting is already covered by the ASR system. Don’t see any reason to double up on this with the Jupuary allocation which should be oriented towards broad community excitement of USERS, not merely those staking a token for a year.
Governance should be a fundamentally separate consideration, and already is.
Broadly I agree, especially that holders of products separate to governance like JupSOL and JLP ought to have some kind of multiplier or allocation.
Swaps should remain core as its fundamentally the purpose of the product suite, but a good means of sybil busting would be to heavily orient towards perpetuals volume as the cost heavily disincentivizes sybil behaviour.
