looking forward
a lot of NRI in Canada would definitely support funding this when you choose this direction
hi, I have been involved in this project from season 1 and am glad to be a part of this community.
Very excited for the token generation event and LFG platform.
Owning and maintaining a Dabba hotspot is 10x easier when compared to other DePin projects.
Looking forward to share about this project to friends and family and to contribute more.
This is an incredible intro and a great project. Iâm on board with proceeding towards a Dabba listing vote if the LFG community agrees.
Canât wait for my Hotspots to be onboarded ! I purchased 2 so far
There are several particularly exciting aspects to this project:
-
There is a clear demand for connectivity in India which has not been adequately filled. A DePin project is perfect for this gap, Dabba can supply very affordable wifi to users, at a low cost to them.
-
Hotspot owners do not have to deal with the nightmare that come from owning and operating a hotspot from home. The LCOs can deploy and manage the hotspots for you. They are then rewarded for their hard work.
-
The hotspot owner is sent all the tokens generated from their hotspots. They can then distribute them to the relevant LCOs, the better the LCOs manage the hotspot the more DBT tokens they will be sent. This creates a competitive market between the LCOs and hotspot owners. This is much better than the LCOs receiving a set amount of rewards, as some may neglect the hotspots and manage them incorrectly.
Overall, this is an extremely promising DePin project and I have touched on only handful of the reasons why. They have some great investors and an amazing team working with them. I believe this network will grow and it will grow fast! Jupiter is the perfect launching platform for the DBT token. Lets have it Dabba!!
Great to hear positive experience and ongoing support from one of the early adopters back in January. Weâre equally excited about whatâs coming next !!
One of the best things like you pointed out about managed deployment is that its very easy for people to grasp and therefore onboard friends and family into web3 with products that can bring tangible real world change from the comfort of your home.
Its a DePIN with a little bit of centralized guidance. There are multiple stakeholders that need to be guided to eventually align with the vision of the network.
I guess i have 2 questions for the team
1.You are onboarding web2 guys with experience in building telecom infrastructure, what is the process of onboarding them into this web3 dabba network? What are the issues faced here?
- The team is the LCO as well as the hardware manufacturer. Will there be more 3rd party stakeholders across all departments. I see you have already started with adding one LCO partner, what about the rest
Thanks for the questions!
- Most LCOs that weâre onboarding have some knowledge of web3 already as India has a large crypto user base. Thereâs almost no one who didnât ape in on some token of some sort last cycle, so onboarding LCOs to web3 is pretty smooth.
- There will absolutely be more stakeholders across all areas as we go forward. We aim to onboard multiple hardware manufacturers, backhaul providers and most importantly a large percentage of the 150K LCOs in India.
What would life be like without internet?
Here is a easy breakdown of what we do and why it is important
How many LCOs have been already vetted by Dabba team and waiting on the sidelines, ready to deploy right after TGE? Just curious!
Weâve worked with dozens of LCOâs in the past few years and have them all lined up. Every single one of them has a ton of partners they would like to bring along as well. Super healthy pipeline, weâre just pacing onboarding them. Iâm sure youâll see more LCOs come online even before the TGE.
When is the next townhall? Will we have a townhall this week?
Hey @velvetdoctor , yes, we do have our townhall this week, will be sharing the link on our discord and here over the day tomorrow.
Fantastic post, love the images throughout. Not from India but its clear from the information provided that this is a needed service. Good luck, shame I canât get involved more!
Hey @Effitius , glad you liked the post and yes you are correct, internet infra is really lagging behind in emerging markets like Indiaâs , where nearly half of our 1.4 billion population still lacks connectivity!
You can get involved by purchasing a Dabba hotspot or engaging with us on twitter and discord.
Another landmark reached on the Dabba Network!
500+ TB consumed in the first 99 days!
Since then, additional
500+ TB consumed in the last 69 days!
The Dabba Network is rapidly growing with more customers on the network using our service as their primary source of high speed Internet accesss
Congrats! Many more TB to come!
Hello Dabba Team,
Your teamâs vision to make the internet available for cheaper and faster speed across India and other parts of the world is commendable. I have a few queries listed below.
-
After TGE, will my daily token rewards be based on performance of my hotspot?
-
Donât you think 100,000 hotspots in a year is a big number to achieve?
3.Based on what metrics LCOâs are selected, since they play a crucial role in Dabba Network.
Thanks!
