In Egyptian society, traditional religious and cultural values are cherished. Some of the values include:

Compassion towards other people
Piousness
Respect and esteem for people
Honour is an important facet of interpersonal relationships
The family is the most significant unit of Egyptian society
Kinship plays an important role in all social relations
Egypt is a collectivist society and the needs of the family outweigh those of a person
Social class is very apparent in Egypt since it determines your access to power and position…

I think Yes, there are similarities between the Egyptian values <> Catdet ethos.
