Introduction
Our goal is to host a proof-of-concept Jupiter IRL meetup in Abuja. This event will showcase the effectiveness of in-person community building and onboarding strategies for the Jupiter ecosystem. By providing hands-on education and personalized engagement, we aim to attract active contributors to the DAO.
DAO Goals
This event addresses key issues such as the need for cohesive community building and the onboarding of active members. Rather than passive stakeholders who only vote for ASR, we want to attract individuals who will bring unique skills and long-term contributions to the Jupiter DAO.
This event aligns with the following C.A.R.E goals:
- Cohesion : Building a tight-knit community through face-to-face interactions.
- Activation : Encouraging active participation and long-term engagement with the DAO.
- Education : Educating attendees on the JupDAO, wallet creation, and security.
If successful, this event will act as a model for future meetups and potentially scale into a broader, 5-month series of events across Nigeria and beyond.

Success Metrics
The success of this event will be measured by:
- Attendance : Targeting 25 participants.
- Community Engagement : Number of new wallets/attendees joining the JupDAO & Discord, and active contributions.
- Social Media Impact : Number of X posts and shares generated from the event.
Cost
We are requesting the full distribution of the budget upfront due to the need to pay vendors for venue, catering, and services. This is necessary to secure resources and ensure the success of the event.
Budget for Proof-of-Concept Event :
- Venue : 250 USDC
- Merch : 150 USDC (20 attendees)
- Facilitator Compensation : 600 USDC (3 facilitators x 200 USDC)
