Why Holding $JUP, $JLP, and $JUPSOL Should Be Part of Jupuary Criteria

I agree with the sentiment of your post. However “Recognizing True Loyalty” is not a stated goal for Jupuary.

Meow has said that he intended/intends? for Jupuary to be a gift & for the gifts ($JUP) to get into the hands of as many current & new users as possible while remaining relatively significant in size.

Just a PSA for all to temper any expectations before the post snapshot discussions begin.

Yes bro 100%.

Jupuary is a gift. People have no right to be triggered

Regardless, they will be triggered, probably rightly so.
Cant blame fellas for such emotions.

I completely agree with the idea of counting $JUP, $JLP and $JUPSOL tokens stored on DeFi platforms as part of the Jupuary criteria. Not only does it demonstrate loyalty, but those funds are helping the stability of the ecosystem through liquidity. Ignoring them would be discouraging those who really actively support the project. Furthermore, considering only tokens in personal wallets could favor users with greater resources, leaving aside those who, although they do not own large amounts, actively contribute to the ecosystem through various platforms.

Yeah for sure.

Plus I feel there would be limit Sybil in holding JLP or JUPSOL compared the the number of wallets holding 1 $JUP in each thinking they are milking a free airdrop

About 50% of the stakers have 40 or less than than cumulative voting power. The wallets with 1,2,3-5 or even 10 JUP staked should automatically be excluded because they obviously try to game the system

I don’t really support anyone should be excluded but they can be reward base on their tie because some are actually not Sybil the system some are newbies still struggle to find a ground with little rewards some may find their breakthrough through it though some may Sybil the system but base tie rewards can be applied, some with huge fund may still Sybil how did you want to tackle such people. To me the commitment towards growths can be measure by how many times the users vote, how long does it takes and how many Jupiter products uses. You can easily detect Sybil through this system. check base on wallet performance at least 3 to 5 different Jupiter products use and commitment towards using those products.

In general I agree, especially as it is obvious that it would benefit the token and the reach of the assets.

Simple but effective approach to reduce Sybil attacks in this scenario significantly.

Well you get every cat should be rewarded, but regarding onboarding new users.

If they have don’t nothing to support ecosystem then fuck em! If they want jup they can buy some, not receive a handout where they will just sell

I think we should have something similar to the first Jupuary with volume multipliers for fee products and maybe for amount of voting power used, etc …

Not really free if they use other products like meeting at least 5 criteria element throughout the whole circle. Winning little could convince them to stay for long time. When I joined crypto space then I know how excited winning 5$ airdrop with just filling form and more. No stress unlike now.

So you think that very very obvious sybils should be rewarded?
Even if some part of those small users aren’t sybils then if they fall into the lowest reward graph (if team goes to linear way) don’t you think that it will happen something like with first ASR program? Many users simply not claiming due to having very low number of JUP staked and therefore it costs them more to claim rather to not claim their rewards

I’m not supporting Sybil, I’m actually emphasing about jupnuary criteria if the users stake 1jup and votes without meeting other criteria like meeting 3 to 5 criteria the user may not be rewarded.

Why dont we vote for the criteria…winning set of criteria gets implemented for Jupuary

Well, I’d prefer to leave it in the hands of the team.

A vote on the criteria would mean people just select swap volume c they have been farming it the past 12 months

What id like to see is the following:

  1. Team take snapshot
  2. Team decide criteria
  3. We vote yes/no to it rather than the other pick the elements
  4. Sybil is excluded

i believe you need at least 50 staked JUP to vote, is that correct?

Thats really interesting…to see criteria, then put it to a vote. Could that trigger a mutiny of everyone who hasn’t used DCA/VA/Perps…or has no jlp/jupSOL to vote down Jupuary?

thats why its fairest for team to decide in my opinion
