Research says “This is the first time SimonL has posted — let’s welcome them to our community!” So welcome to the community mate  You made good explanation in your own terms. Every idea matters and taken into consideration for the better future of Jupiter. I understand the need to know how Jupuary will be done under which circumstances while making a decision for the vote but it is a hard gamble to explain criterias and then go to vote … There are many projects out there kind of promoting their criterias or explaining some tricks alongside with snapshot date just to farm their users and increase their platform earnings but in my opinion Jupiter doesnt like these kind of games. At this point we need to trust the Team and Working group discussions together with community to come up the best acceptable solution. May the good fortune be with us :vulcan_salute:

Thanks for the welcome mate ! Nee to posting my thoughts, usually I am not someone to speak out.

You make a good point in that we should not reveal criteria and tricks for people to farm. But some level of transparency as to what voting for and voting against Jupuary means, is necessary.

Anyhow excited to to see what comes next for this community and how I can contribute.
Cheers

So true. In the JUP Rally a couple days ago meow was talking about a 20 year vision.

Appreciate your feedback, mate.

I did not qualify for the last Jupuary either and bought everything from scratch. Going from 5000 JUP to my current position took a lot of sacrifices, budgeting and investment of hard earned money . So although, we started in a similar way, I would actually welcome getting rid of Jupuary and not dilute my family’s savings to reward 14 million exchange farmers.

This situation resonates with me completely, and the mindset of some who were rewarded in the first Jupuary doesn’t align with the true spirit of PPP. It was promised that there would be three Jupuary events, but it now seems that due to the 30% token reduction, there will only be two more. It’s unfair for those who benefited in the first round to discourage others from future opportunities. I firmly believe that the majority of Juppers don’t think this way, and it’s hard to judge whether those opposing future Jupuary events are doing so in good faith or simply protecting their own interests. Don’t wanna judge anyone at all.

That said, I have strong faith in the team to make the right decisions. I understand that not everyone will be satisfied with the outcome, and if I end up in that position, I’ll continue my commitment because I believe Jup is a solid project.

Great analogy and i do think it resonates with the reality. It is always like that the first one creates the biggest boom and then things slowly fade or slow down until they disappear or finish. Even so if you become aware of it you can create counter measures that would reduce this effect and keep as high output as possible.

I think that is primarily the idea of the JUP team and am sure they will do a great work there, pivoting from the ideas of last year to ideas that follow these principles. Depending what it will be proposed i will vote accordingly. At this time i am leaning to NO, but am open still since there are pluses and minuses on both sides. :twisted_rightwards_arrows:

Your comment will motivate more than one person here. I am proud to see how people with more life experience are interested in cryptos and that little by little the image of “crypto is for kids” is being removed. It is true that it is a very volatile market but you just have to get used to it and cover yourself well. the backs. By the way, I love what you said! “I’m still young at heart” wow that got to me I would like to have that same youth when I reach 61. Have a good day comrade. :fist_right: :fist_left:

In my opinion, Jupiter still offers the best DEX system. It allows you to stake and earn active staking rewards, which helps lock a significant portion of the tokens, preventing them from being sold quickly and losing value. Regarding the January reward, I believe that since Jupiter is community-oriented, it makes sense to reward active and loyal users.

So basically we are being pushed “for” because of our fear of uncertainty.
