Okay okay makes sense yea…missed it thanks for the response
The fact is, the role shouldn’t be limited to discord members only. Anyone who have contributed to jupiverse irrespective of the media use deserves the role. @julianhzhu
Agreed.
There are plans to expand the scope further to all areas beyond the trial now that the scope and ethos are more defined.
We are starting to build out lists on Twitter and also expanding the community into Reddit.
Look out for our upcoming proposal!
However want to add that for the near future at least, discord will still remain the core hub of core community activity, until team and Jupiter signals a different direction to that. I can see it coming though, especially with mobile app launching etc.
Good , thanks for the great response.
Soft disagreement from my side. Sure Discord has the highest rate of activity, but if we filter that by quality of content and lack of structure I would argue that the value is in counter mitigative. So on Discord everyone is way more active, but by no means they are really “more informed”. Information is also based in knowledge, debate, understanding and resolutions. 70% of the J&J edging took place on twitter, while some conclusive topics are only even remotely tackled in the forums here. Reddit is just a sideways running thing, it is not incorporated enough to contribute meaningful vertically. While a majority of people from other media “are also on Discord”, they are for the most part there because it is Jupiters focus to funnel over there and give updates there.
In regards to the COC, honestly I have seen people contribute much more value on forums and on twitter than in the enclosed Discord ecosystem where many that search for real information, get exhausted from reading past the memes, moonboys and “so good sir Jupiter is best” level of meaningful contribution.
I mean, take a lean back and just for a second try to view it neutral and out of the created Discord selfproclaiming bubble… And look at how much informational value the Jupresearch forums have (while they are being neglected by the team to be properly advertised and put in the spotlight) or how the real trajectory to get in new users is really Twitter and Youtube. Reddit is just there to satisfy Redditors and natives, so whatever.
Anyone that show any real value on other social media, is only recognised on Discord if either he goes out of his ways to selfadvertise his work, or some users are so kind to bring the attention to him. I do not see any mechanism that would bring forward the value shown on other media down to Discord by the nature of it. It could be done, but then again some are comfortable in their bubble.
Getting 31 emoji reacts on a GM or dark humor joke, does for no means speak for high information density.
This is the real, the fact about the jup media system, discord is so enclosed that everyone on that group is aware of what they are actually doing on that group, just fighting for a role from the team with just LFG messages though the team still believe more on the ecosystem on discord to other social media. Jup research information are top notch and well accessible.
Couldn’t agree more. This in a nutshell captures any lecture I am about to give on this issue so I rather just highlight it so I draw attention to this particular fact being ignored.
On point once more @Merlin-M-Ostermann and always brutally honest. Strongly agree.
You’re absolutely right. There is immense value in the DAO, but it’s not being equally recognised in the context of cardet rewards. If you were introduced to the Jup ecosystem today, the only place where you could immediately dive in and gain a comprehensive understanding of its workings would be the JupResearch section or the DAO itself. Through JupResearch, you can trace the timeline of key events in the ecosystem, see how the DAO debated and contributed to them, and get a clear sense of both current and future plans. I’m surprised it isn’t being used more to reward achievements like CoC or cadet status.
The most educative platform at jupiverse is jup research, you can never see unrelated post, threads, comments or suggestions to a topic. Everything is well detailed and informative to other social media. People love to show their intelligence here unlike others socials that full of unrelated information before you can access the main announcement. So peaceful like a river.
When you talk about well detailed you don’t even need manual to go about it.
