To me, after listening to the hours I could manage and reading a good bit. Really taking in what’s going on here, it seems that so many things and parts are under development. That it needs more of us if we can to step up and inform ourselves to whatever level we can, and works with the groups as they form. There is sooo much potential with all of this. Providing a relatively strong and safe investment platform with benefits and a real place to gain value not just for Jup but Solana, web3, the whole world I imaginr. It’s really a new day. So, to me, I don’t see an issue, the money’s they asked for isn’t the problem. They need to get paid and that needs to get done. The amount of Jup is a lot. Yes, however as stated, it gives sooo much motivation for them to prove themselves and make Jup worth over 10 dollar and hopefully Jup will be going sooo strong, they will realize they don’t want to sell their shares when they get them, but increase their own voting power in Jupiter. It also motivates the community to work together and really figure out how these core working groups are going to be compensated. Like it’s a DAO, persons have a right to make a petition and submit it. Overall, everything I’ve seen as I involve myself more and more leads me to believe in this and it’s bright future. I don’t want to be blind though, and I know that there is lots of discourse to come surrounding everything but choose to believe it’s essential in working together. The access to launching new exciting projects, helping them get noticed and be successful is a huge mission. To actually have the goal of becoming a new day stock exchange and onboarding who knows how many new people and giving a affordable, achievable way to invest in their future and have all this accessible is just such a huge value. The most interesting one here to me is the 6 month retrospective DAO vote ratification.
I would like to second this response and echo other things that have been said here so far… I am all about rewarding contributions and if you want to be the best, you need to pay like you are the best.
From that, i would be fine with increasing the bottom level “salary” that is paid out to the CWG. Why not $100-120k? But agree that the JUP amount is quite high. Overall with the vast difference between crypto and “traditional” markets a 2 year vesting period is incredibly fair though… more risk = less vesting time.
This also brings me to a sort of cross-roads… Why limit CWG to 4 people? How/from where were they selected? We need to understand as a community that while decentralization is important, having an entirely “democratic” process is not inherently good either. You need some sort of centralization within your decentralized network to drive growth and decision making, which is why the idea of a CWG of sorts is important and necessary. But at the moment i dont think this community has a solid enough foundation for 1) what we want/where we want to go and 2) an understood/accepted roadmap for how to get there. Once we have that and it’s agreed upon the election/selection of a CWG would be beneficial. Right now, to me it seems more of a money/power grab, regardless of true intent, and even if it brings some sort of order to the process.
This really short time for us to vote is quite disappointing. Why so ?
Is this a truly fair vote ? How much vote power these 4 persons have ? Isn’t it a conflict of interest if they can vote ? Why is the remuneration so high ?
I truly disagree with these kinds of “surprises”, it shouldn’t be possible to create a vote like that, without enough time to think about it, talk about it.
Will there be an airdrop bonus for those who have voted for these remunerations ? Will those who have voted against be out of this airdrop ?
I was very interested in the project since that. I’m not anymore. Will wait until next vote or decision for this one before choosing staying in or getting out of this project.

Read the document, whose elaboration is exquisite. I have to say that the favorable arguments for its approval are solidly founded. The candidates seem to be, due to their background, very experienced people, with excellent adaptation to the great changes and challenges that arise. Furthermore, their complicity is observed and that they are known for multiple projects, which deduces a coordinated team, a good work environment and with predictable great performance. Although, I was surprised by the large request in the form of financial compensation, which although it could be linked to the performance of the work carried out, my greatest concern is when it is announced that in the future, more teams are going to start other projects. How many teams with this remuneration is this project capable of supporting does suffer. The cake is what it is. If the pie increases, the slice also increases by direct relationship. I believe that the economic reward can be reviewed and that the answers should be to all the questions raised by those of us who participated.I will continue to support this good project, deciding what is decided from my very modest position. Beginning of proposal a little shaky with scope being repeated, got much better further into proposal. Seems like a lot of thought has gone into SOP and the end result for future. Funding is fair for the work described and should be easily doable. Glad to hear there is accountability measures in place, corruption free and limited projects being voted on will be key to continued success. Fully support proposal for CWG budget, this has been earned and waiting may hurt the current work flow progress.
I voted “For” but this ruins the vibes making getting paid an early vote for the Dao.
4.5MM JUP… Lets say that JUP only goes to 10 bucks at the top of the bull market (which is very conservative). Then in 2 years the price dumps 80% (typical dump in a crypto bear market). @ 2 dollars a pop we are talking about 9 million dollars.
No real game plan/strategy break down.

They will get the funding because of their voting power though lol, not because actual members want this.
This is the comment I wanted to write up but I just saw how much voting power went to “for” on the voting page and said “yeah it doesn’t matter” lol.
I don’t like that the voting started at the same time as the discussion. Had community sentiment been present in the early stages here and on twitter I feel like the vote would have gone very differently. Too bad.
I don’t see any hard tracking metrics or the inclusion of events that would cause them to lose their share of the pie once allocated.
I think equating JUP to a dollar value isn’t a great way to think about compensation packages.

that is also a risk that any dao worker assumes in these agreements…
That’s the better & right way to think of it. Why are those who are voting against not considering that something unforeseen can happen and Jup goes to 0 or with almost nothing! What happens to all the work CWG have put in then? We have people in the normal tech world who earn rediculous amount of money without any accountability like that in this DAO. The fact that we shall vote for them to confirm they have executed before release of Jup is enough for me. That ensures accountability & they aren’t just being paid this, they must proof they’ve earned it.
Another problem with the excessively high compensation is that money could definitely be better spent hiring more teammates instead of enriching 1 person.
For the compensation being given to just 1 CWG member, you could easily hire 4-5 highly qualified people and accomplish 4-5 times the results.
No matter how great one person is, they will never match that can be achieved by 4-5 qualified people.
