This is the most important idea: Change Of Fee Distribution
Hi Foskaay, have read most of your posts, have sent you some feedback in dms.
Seems you mixed that up please, I do operate within the Jupiverse, just not looking to be on the employment side.
My “JupFAQAnswered” content shows clearly it is for the Jupiverse.
NOTE:
When I mention “Jupiter” in the context of JupFAQAnswered kindly understand that it covers Jupiter exchange, Jup DAO, Jupiverse, Jupiter Mobile, Jup token, past, current and future projects like JupNet etc. as long as it is related to Jupiter/Jupiverse.
Here it is:
Except for well-established Jupiverse members that are up-to-date with Jupiter info,
when most people want to learn anything about Jupiter (maybe a friend introduced it or via offline event or online spaces) the place they go to is either Google, Youtube or chatbots like ChatGPT/Grok etc., not Tiktok or X to type their questions and expect helpful answers from contents (video is more preferred this days than just text).
Many times these people ask the same questions or at least were helped to ask the same questions due to suggested questions on those platforms like on Google you have “people also ask”, “auto-complete” etc.
The problem is because most existing Jupiter content isn’t optimized for these people’s questions specifically, sometimes it doesn’t get answered directly.
Create videos that answer frequently asked questions people search for about Jupiter on the aforementioned platforms (Upload it on Youtube, optimized for SEO so it ranks on Youtube and Google and from their other search engines including AI chatbots pick it up as a source of information even when users are using text-based chatbot).
Each video ONLY answers a specific question, so when it ranks for that search it solves the searchers’ question and not the general approach.
Simply put: One specific question gets its specific video answer.
Why Videos and not just articles since it is on Google?
(1) Video explains things better, is more understandable and is easier to follow for beginners than just a text article.
(2) Even Google easily rank YouTube videos now in its text searches above articles and uses it to support its new AI responses too if it fits.
(3) Video on YouTube gives the advantage of capturing the 2 largest search engines and still unlocks access to other search engines like Bing that rely on them including AI Chatbots.
(4) I also created a JupFAQAnswered website that has the video embedded and a summary of the description which helps users easily navigate the Jupiter FAQ videos easily by search and categories filter and this can also be picked up by search engines like Google too.
As aforementioned, the target audience is majorly beginners trying to learn about Jupiter products, services, governance, Jup token etc. and are searching online via platforms like Google, Youtube, and Chatbots.
Sometimes even established Jupiverse members could benefit as long as they use those platforms to get answers to their Jupiter questions.
No specific number due to multiple search questions having different volume monthly but that may be something around:
500,000-1,000,000+ per year based on searches people do about Jupiter on Google/Youtube and as Jupiter products, services and Jupiverse expand, searches grow too.
I do not make the numbers up, here is part of my research findings that confirm the audience is there and huge for JupFAQAnswered am working on:
NOTE: The screenshot above is from the official Google keywords planner for advertisers and it shows that just the “Jupiter Exchange” keyword alone is searched for an average of 10,000-100,000 (not yearly) but monthly.
In a year that is 120,000-1,200,000+ (if we now expand to specific keywords like Jupiter Swap, Jupiter DAO and new ones like Jupiter Mobile, then the 500,000-1,000,000+ becomes even more realistic audience stats).
Imagine within 1 year time, JupFAQAnswered has enough content (that’s why I said fancy editing and content style aren’t essential here) to cover most of Jupiter FAQs to capture just at least 1-10% of that monthly search audience.
Here is for “Jup Token” search with 1,000-10,000+ Monthly searches:
I seem to have told you earlier that am still on day 13 of the 100 days. So, a YouTube channel that is less than 2 weeks old realistically without spending money on ads. The organic growth is normal.
Also, it’s part of what am pointing out within the DAO, is that am a small creator and don’t have huge existing social media followers to promote the new JupFAQAnswered YT channel to.
So, am sure that am not expected to have hundreds or thousands of subscribers and views with projects I just started in less than 2 weeks without running ads.
For the current views and 3 Subscribers, it is totally on point for a channel that depends mainly on organic growth and its less than 2 weeks old.
The channel started with 0 views, 0 subscribers just 12 days ago and now has the following stats:
(1) Overview:
(2) Current 48Hours Views:
(3) You observe the SEO is gradually picking up with “Youtube Search” at the top and also “Google” and other search are part of “External” sources:
(4) Impressions (Most important for a new channel like this because if it keeps growing it means more people are discovering the videos and with time convert to more views):
(5) The above screenshot also shows the External source (Other search engines like Google, Bing etc. and social media through the ones I do share on the JupFAQAnswered X account)
(6) Audience also gradually growing:
(7) Subscribers also gradually growing as the channel gets more exposure:
From the above analytics of the channel its no doubt that its growing and as I continue to work on it daily for the remaining 87Days of the 100 Days JupFAQAnswered challenge, it will continue to grow.
NOTE:
This is what I meant by the team appreciating smaller creators and using a lesser strict standards to judge them compared to big creators because small creators are just on the growth journey and the engagement isn’t necessarily reflective of no content quality (nope).
It is just part of the growth stage and if the DAO team approaches smaller creators with this mindset, we will continue to help them grow instead of watering down their efforts because the channel doesn’t have thousands of subscribers and video views yet.
I also reason with the team that is why am advocating for splitting the grants/bounties into 2 categories as you can easily water down the daily effort I put to have that seemly insignificant growth stats to show in just 2 weeks if you are judging me by what big creators you have been working with delivers even in hours.
All am asking for is PLEASE, let us have smaller grants/bounties that support smaller creators in their growth journey phase because that is when it is the hardest and starting it on their own even without initial grants shows commitment to contributing to growing the Jupiverse pie and supporting such creators early (not waiting for them to struggle it alone until they make it with huge engagement before they can be supported).
So, While Group 1 (Big creators) may get $2,000-$10,000 monthly for their content (their content production quality and high engagement earn this),
There could be Group 2 (Small creators) on maybe $500 - $1,500 per month to support their Jupiverse growth content initiative. This will be much easier even for the team as they would check the content quality and growth potential in line with the smaller grant given.
But if not splitted, then I understand the team won’t be willing to give $2,000=$10,000 to small creators that nearly get views or have subscribers/followers or engagements. So, only the big creators will continue to thrive and that is a recipe for discontentment within the Jupiverse as smaller creators feel ignored.
This will encourage smaller creators to grow too instead of being discouraged because most times if support is lacking at that crucial early stage, they may quit or not be able to achieve their growth potential due to resources and other constraints small creators like me face running Jupiverse focused projects like the JupFAQAnswered daily!
CONCLUSION:
I hope you can now understand why am saying the team when supporting needs to allow smaller creators’ uniqueness, especially when they prove to understand who their audience is and how to style their content to fit them and not be forced to strict viral content production quality standards everyone uses on X.
As said early hope the DAO grant team can support the JupFAQAnswered 100 Days Challenge with Group 2 (small creators) level grant not focusing on huge subscribers and views but what it set out to achieve with the audience and growth rate clearly identified and already been worked towards even without any prior funding or grant support!
Thanks!
I have seen and responded to it.
Thanks for your feedback!
Please keep to the topic at hand, “Ideas”. I know there are other posts discussing this in greater length, and that’s fine, but in this post we are trying to aggregate community ideas for the DAO.
Thank you, Tdev! Can you please submit a meow here?
Hi could you give a few exsamples. Or rather specifically what ideas surrounding the Dao you have in mind. Do you mean ideas on the workings of the Dao or for exsample an idea like let’s create a Telegram group kinda thing. For me it’s not clear That way I can perhaps contribute better.
A what? What do you mean?
Yeah, anything within the scope of the DAO. We have discussed a telegram group before actually, but I dont think anything came from it.
Yeah I think it was brought up a year ago. Not knowing I went and made a topic separately too. At the time I didn’t know it was already talked about then. The topic I posted didn’t get much traction even though everyone was positive who replied as it was really quiet on here. It’s gotten more lively again.
Sorry, a message right here:
they’re called meows
’m hoping everyone take advantage of this opportunity to brainstorm in public, and stay tuned to more initiatives in this direction. Starting in a week or so I will also start posting up in voice chat in Discord a few hours a day for anyone that wants to pitch or discuss ideas with me directly.
more options inside Jupiverse …your communications system is totally open mind and friendly … love it! Congrats for this initiative , thanks
Hi Morten, you commented on this earlier, just posting this here again just incase
Yep! Seen, liked, and hope we can make happen!
We’re not done here guys, please keep it coming!
JM.
I just finished watching all videos posted by the Tiktok account tho, it’s extremely goated to be frank.
But I feel Tiktok audience isn’t exactly the same as X audience, all the getting started with Solana and Defi related videos are necessary and needed, but I don’t think that’s what would attract and retain users on Tiktok.
Certainly educational content could be posted, but from my time on Tiktok( not much honestly) I believe more entertaining videos are bound to draw in users.
Remember most people leave their X accounts and what ever they’re doing to have a good laugh or wins down on Tiktok.
Not to begin a school series about Defi while on their bed.
I feel fun content should be created more or games like the most basic 10JUP or pass it to the next person. Over time they would get used to seeing your content and definitely won’t mind learning about Solana haha.
My 1 cent.
Fun engaging videos then schooling videos.
Yeah! Uplink manages the tiktok account for now, but they’re experimenting a bit with it, and might let a tiktok professional take over if they’re not satisfied, at least from what I’m hearing in office hours updates.
Oh, I see, that’s all good then, wish them the best.
Every Dao vote has to have 80% to pass. Do away with abstain. This will allow for more discussion on each proposal. Will somewhat mitigate the current unbalance in voting power,
Would be cool if every planetary call had a 2-minute update on progress from each WG - to keep everyone accountable. Alternatively, a weekly or biweekly 2-minute standalone video published on X.
