I think he needs to understand the fact that not everyone will agreed with it proposal. it now looking like is forcing it on everyone like spamming it, the best option let team decide the outcome criteria and let vote for it as Dao. Leave everything for Team simple
When you don’t agree with something, let’s debate about it. But based on reason and not based on personal attacks, as the one I was replying to.
They will propose something and DAO will vote, but Maow also said we should discuss and argue about it. The team will likely use any good arguments and data they see on Jupresearch.
The team has been clear about the purpose. The purpose of Jupuary is:
- Bringing another 2.1 Billion of the 10B JUP token supply into circulation
- Distributing JUP to the millions of Jupiter users in a decentralised fashion
- Incentivising (not rewarding) the community to engage more with Jupiter
- Guerilla marketing method to create huge hype and (social)media attention
- Aligning with Jupiter’s growth mindset and inclusive community strategy
90% - 96% of people only use Jupiter to for regular trading. Any Jupuary proposal leaving out 90%+ of users will simply not be taken serious, as it goes against the goal and ethos of Jupuary and Jupiter. So let’s continue to discuss with the purpose of Jupuary in mind.
You have spammed this forum for the past week, your rhetoric as apparent on every single proposal. filibustering this thing to death.
Is there a proof for those claims or only imagination?
Everyone is coming out with good enough arguments and so far most of us who did any kind of proposal did agree that some changes are possible or even needed, no one from us is stubborn and repeating same sentances continuously.
I could easily take a bet that the maximum amount of real users is no more than 10% from the total number (and that’s with huge safety margin from my side). Those users who are left out because of overtightening maybe they won’t be lucky, maybe it’s because the competition for airdrops is very high right now unlike 2020/21. Game is game, gotta adapt. But there is no way any reasonable person in that space who doesn’t have financial incentives can agree with the fact that 100k$ or 1m$ in swaps can’t be gamed or they barely are, but those products with 100x less activity are gamed at 100%, it ain’t working like that buddy.
Ofc it’s imagination
I’m part of a few private discord communites, and the majority of them already collaborated with projects that sell bots to farm those features.
Staking is the less botable/farmed facet because of the long unlock period
Only thing i disagree is that imo only stakers should be eligible, and then all those other criteria you mentioned will be boosters to calculate the allocation
I applaud you for the general structure of the thinking and generally like the clarity and thought through it.
While I appreciate JUP stakers are important members of the ecosystem, they are already well rewarded by ASR. I do agree, JUP stakers as important members of the ecosystem, should have some sort of inclusiong but 20% of the pool is a bit too much, considering ASR already rewards members for staking. Jupuary should be to reward and encourage more users of the Jupiter ecosystem.
I do generally agree with the way you have carved up the other elements. Thank you for sharing!
I must really commend your skill and patience in carefully curating and analyzing different criteria which might be used. As you said earlier, its just a proposal. Lets see what the team comes up with. Weldone and
i think this is the best proposal so far for jupuary
I don’t understand why Pers would be more than DCA and Limits… what’s the point of splitting the rewards between features and not give the same amount for each
I don’t feel like fee based products can be farmed. The jup team would love millions of “farmers” using the products, if this were the case.
Swap can be farmed due to API & lack of fees.
I think that perps deserve bigger allocation since they are probably the largest or second largest fee generator for the platform.
This is an interesting approach, like having minimum 2/3 categories tagged in order to be eligible and then multiplier for every other category/time-spent
Yeah agree. The big difference is that perp users actually pay a fee to JUP while SWAPs, etc. are totally free so I think perps users should get a bigger cut (I never even used perps just want to stay PPP)
There are a lot of bots for generating volume on JUP, but most of them will get rekt by the most basic sybil algo. Spamming txs on new wallets with no background, buying and selling the same tokens with nothing else… every single algo will get those wallets and screw the owners.
And of course Meow already said that this round of Jupuary will take have sybil unlike the 2024’ Jupuary
Yes, the Jupiter API can’t do DCA, Limit, Perps, Vote etc, so these can only be farmed manually. That is why the data you’re showing to support your argument is invalid. You can read the Jupiter API documentation here. And:
Stop it with your baseless accusations!
It seems you’re not even familiar with the basic rules and guidelines for catdets.
‘’ Severe Accusations Require ‘Severe’ Evidence
Explanation: Disagreements can happen, but if you’re going to make serious claims, make sure you’ve got the facts to back them up. This rule ensures that we stay fair and focused on truth, not just assumptions or emotions.‘’
Unlike yourself, I have provided several points of proof for my statements:
You showed me proof that Jupiter API can’t do dca, limit, perps, vote etc. and that’s fine - nobody disagrees on that part. I asked for proof that someone in Mumbai or some other poor part of the world is doing it manually (if we have members from Mumbai, please accept my apologies i just gave example). As for my part i showed you the 100x difference in number of active wallets and that’s a proof that those activities are way less (or not at all) farmed and therefore there are significant chances that high % of those users are actually real.
Yes I provided proof for that in my reply, but you have to click on the down arrow to collapse it.
I’ve not seen you share any 100X proof. You can share it here as a reply if you have it. Your graphs showing swap and DCA users only show the difference in total success transactions.
I have proven that the above point proves nothing, because the Jupiter API can only be used on swaps and not on DCA’s. The failed transaction % always signifies bot usage.
Your proof is that some youtubers published a video and they said that doing dca, limit orders, etc. gonna make you eligible for the airdrop? By that same logic if i upload a tutorial how to make meth will all the meth in the world be made because i did that video? This is pathetic.
I published the proof of 100x difference (roughly) that at same day i published the examples that there are 285.35k active swappers vs 3.24k dca users for same day.
And with that i am stopping replying to you because it’s like i am arguing with a wall.
