Will totally agree with the result our DAO decides. That is democracy and sometimes the vast majority has different view than mine. Once the decision is made I’ll re-evaluate the situation and adjust if needed, and then we move forward and focus on building from there. Barking about it afterwards doesn’t change anything neither does any good.
obv you left with no choice after that lol.
the whole concept of jupuary is inviting new to participate in governance and decision making where DAO aligns with, which is the true nature of decentralization.
With all the respect, this has nothing to do with a democracy.
Changing the rules during the game has nothing democratic on it.
A vote based on voting power has nothing to do with a democracy.
In a democracy, you can ask for a minimum numbers of voters to participate in a vote, in order to validate that vote. To ask 70% of the voters to say yes, in order to validate a proposal, has nothing to do with a democracy.
This was an unilateral decision, with zero debates prior, done by somebody in power.
I don’t know what’s so democratic about this fiasco.
Got it, I respect your view.
Let’s do this together! I’m behind you+
Thank you for your Time and I hope to see you around here more often, I’m pretty sure JUP is going to grow on you like Waking up & eating Breakfast EVERYDAY, That’s what it has done for me.
Make sure you leave a Response to your vote where it asks you to submit one because your Opinion and VIEW is HIGHLY appreciated.
Welcome & Lets grow together!

I agree with you and have got your back, You are going to find 90% of Users do Its seems only the ones looking for a quick Buck are Fighting at every turn, But then again they may do that until they sell their JUP, At that point you & I will Buy them up while they regret thier decision.
WELCOME BY THE WAY!!

Its only for this 1 Vote due to its importance.
The standard quorum is 30% of total staked JUP per Proposal.

My 2 cents:
-
Growing the community is paramount. As members of the DAO, I believe it’s our responsibility to promote and grow JUP.
-
People and promises are important. Robust proof of humanity, helps reward real users and future Jupuaries have driven a lot of volume.
-
If/When farmers dump, it gives real users the opportunity to buy at a discount. I’m here for the long term and happy to provide liquidity to those who aren’t long-term believers in JUP.
I doubt if the vote will ever pass at this rate, whales will keep on voting NO and say it’s because they don’t want an emission of more supply in Jupuary but in reality, they don’t really care about the emission, they’re only voting NO because they get no allocation for “staking” even though they already have ASR, this is pretty much a head to head between greedy whales and small users, if you somehow revise the proposal and tweak it to include an allocation for stakers, the same whales currently voting NO will vote YES and forget about the “token emission” they were against.
Honestly there should be a mid point where the people that have committed their JUPs to the staking, and have navigated the year looking forward for the growing of the project don’t feel their investments being diluted at once and their efforts getting reduced in a day.
We can expect many people that would eventually receive an airdrop will stay and stake so why not to vest the airdrop and do it progressively?. That would foster commitment and inclusion while also protecting the community.
On the other hand, people is ultimately part of this to improve their financial conditions (yes, creatively, decentralized, autonomous, etc. but for the money) and would like to see their commitment rewarded as much as possible. That should be taken into account at any possible step.
Balance between attracting new people and growing decentralization vs. rewarding the current participants of the community.
“1. As inclusive as possible, with the goal of allowing every key segment to feel included.”
There are many brilliant minds here that can come with benefitial options for all these segments.
Dunno whther I be eligible for the airdrop but Voted YES for better JUP future
Thanks for the feedback, that’s what I thought. So when you value JUP vs other tokens that have revenue such as DRIFT that has revenue, by what metric do you anticipate JUP going up in value?
can’t believe this is actually a vote. whales have more voting power, and NO is common sense result. just like any government or hedge fund, poors gets poorer, and rich gets richer.
Sybil detection is not allowed in my region. How sad if I vote, and not able to pass Sybil detection. I won’t get any in participating the Jupuary vote 1.
This proposal doesn’t really seem to have anything to it. The goal is to have people “feel included”? Huh? I am in favor of incentivising ongoing participation. But I would like to see something more specific. Have to vote no.
What’s the next offer? Is it an Alex Dreyfus strategy? If you want to lower the price and go to unlimited supply. Of course my vote is No!
Groww the PIE LFG. JUP for life
this is great news! I hope we get even more than 70% support…
I’m not comfortable voting For a Jupuary until the allocation breakdown is very clear, I mean It was stated that “Volume will be a consideration, while not being the sole focus”, sounds to me like the same mistake sanctum made with earnestness, I have no problem with rewarding the earnest(or in this case Cadets) but I believe you can’t really be earnest and say you believe in a company/community if you can’t invest financially and put your money where your mouth is, I believe volume & staked $jup should be the base for grading points, earnestness/cadets should have a VERY HIGH multiplier but still no one should get $jup based on that alone, it should ONLY be a multiplier.
Also $JUP main use case is staking/governance, so just like ASR it should be staked with at least 30days unlock, I got a 200 $JUP welcome gift last jupuary, staked it, never sold, bought more, grew it to over 2000 $JUP & always voted because I believe in Jupiter & the team, that’s why I grew my pie and held for a year, anyone who isn’t locked in can claim instantly but with at least 50% burn, I believe that’s fair.
