Yes and given the current bull market conditions, ASR needs to be beefed up to remain competitive over the long-term.

I agree broadly with the sentiments but I just can’t really see the DAO actually growing Jupiter as a platform as opposed to incentives.
Have the millions spent on rewarding DAO members over on Optimism grown the chain or have the direct incentives for users to actually use the products grown it?
A more extreme example is Polkadot.
Jupiter needs users for her products. That’s the first priority. Jupuary will drive that.
The longer term, stickiness of Jupiter will come from both retaining users you onboard from those incentive programs and the work that comes out of the DAO.
Pumping too many rewards into the DAO risks them being captured by people looking for “a job” (and worse the coordinated malicious actors we’ve seen across the DAO space).
Keep the DAO lean to keep it focused. DAO funding should be more dependant on Jupiter achieving revenue targets rather than treasury funds. Revenue targets need marketing resources in order to best on board the users Jupiter (and the whole space) so desperately needs.

Well actually it does, it speaks to the inward looking nature of crypto, one of the reasons it hasn’t expanded as fast as it should have.
We constantly look to consolidate wealth into the hands of the few, the OGs. The mantra is “be early and get rewarded” but what does that say about those who aren’t “early”?
if you want to grow the pie you need to lose the idea that OG status means anything.

I am very confused about this vote .This vote should unite us , not to divide us.
Some will be unhappy with the result of the vote, and I may be one of them. But I will vote, to grow the pie , because I have confidence in the team.
Here’s something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be: Let’s make sure OG status means very little in these next Jupuarys.

If you want to expand properly we need to lose the idea that skewing rewards towards existing users is a good idea.
Each Jupuary should follow a usage from X point onwards to allow new and old users the same chance to earn rewards through usage and engagement.

Not sure you understood my post so I’ll explain.
Barring the release of any specific criteria, and assuming the agree with the concept of Jupuary in general, the only question you have to ask yourself for this vote as presently constructed is, “Do I trust the team to design a distribution schedule that will benefit us all?”
When I consider logically that they have far more to lose than I in the long run, my answer to that question is yes.
To your point of forced staking I say, you don’t want to trap people here that don’t want to be. That would be toxic to the entire process. Those that want to sell and leave? The sooner the better! Those that want to stay and be a part of it all? Welcome!

This vote its a defining moment that serves a test of community and ecosystem aligned. I personally vote in favor based in the principles of Acelerate, Decentralize, and Unify.
However, I respect those who vote not in favor as well. I believe here there is no a wrong answer as long as we have the right mindset, come back to peaceful engage with our peers, and never let greed blind our judgement.
At the end of the day, the goal is to be united as a community, believe in Meow’s vision, and together grow towards that goal, regardless of the final outcome of this vote.

The vote won’t be a yes the first time, but there will be a strong chance it passes the second time. This team is looking at this steps ahead of us. This first vote is basically to gauge the sentiment of the community. On the emergency call earlier today, Meow said he was neutral regarding the first vote. Currently the vote is around 50/50 and most likely by tomorrow morning it will be a firm no, but we will have to wait until Friday for the official results. All the yes votes will remain as yes votes for the next vote, and the team only has to address 40% of the no’s to get it passed. There will be more urgency to get the next vote passed, and the whales understand that Jupuary is important for the long term growth of Jupiter, they just need to have some concerns addressed. We will come out of this as a much more informed, and stronger community.
I’ve taken the time to read the proposal. Its very reasonable in the terms. I have voted yes but it don’t come without some concerns. Jupary is an amazing thing and ran by some amazing people. I fear that this idea will also attract the wrong kind of people. There is a lot at stake with JupiterExchange and I just pray that the votes are made for the right reasons
I’m voting YES. Jupuary should move forward as planned. With the token burn scheduled for the last week of January, I’m confident it won’t dilute the token price. I fully trust the JUP team—they’ve clearly thought through the potential concerns, and I believe in their vision. Personally, I think $JUP is on track to hit new highs and achieve amazing milestones. Let’s make it happen

I initially wasn’t happy with the airdrop but I remember the first jupuary was what got me here in the first place. I believe this will make our community bigger than before and give more room for growth!

Only because of the reason that there should be maybe more focus on ppp as in off course jupuary should encourage and engage with, reward the new comers and the people that are seemingly bag and profit focused but also dao’s and projects have a ethos and a mission statement and within that there is a culture… and that has to be gauged and impressed upon and taught to the members of that ecosystem… the analogy is that you making someone have veggies at their distaste with show results when after 6 months they are healthier than their counterparts that were not enticed or persuaded to be involved… even if they didnt like it they will learn to love it as long as it was truly for the best… PPP… so another thing that should be included in the jupuary should be the inclusion of some additional tokens for those that participated with the asr fully so as to encourage the community in being part of the community as intended… and that aspect isn’t included in this version of the jupuary… i also think that a lock isn’t a cardinal sin its very ppp as it shows support and belief in the project but maybe should be 70% straight away and 30% more for those that wait till lock period is over… would be less traumatic for those that value the right to dump or sell their gift/ allocation from the team… two final points (i have officially become a pda-essay writer like @meow here lol publicdisplayofaffectionsessay) i understand that for all projects whether successful or not they need momentum and attention to remain positive for both the public image and investors and most importantly imo internally for the teams moral to continue to fuel their legend and excitement and innovation etc (underestimated) and i am sure meow and the guys are doing backflips off the wall emotionally in some ways as they love this project clearly and dont want to fuck it up in any way so this fork in the road is important but i would remind them that Jupiter kicks ass and regardless of what tom dick and wally do they will all inevitably still use jupiter as its the best and secondly stick to your guns and show people the way and as long as the team remains reliable and undeniable then they will be golden… i believe jupuary should for sure exist but just tweaked a little so i voted no thats my 200cents and if you got this far you are crazy you read too much and big love lol
