I am all about growing the pie, but I think that it would be best for the community and project to have more guardrails in place. I’m voting no until there is a sufficient vesting period.

Exactly. I’ve onboard on Sol eco after hearing this massive airdrop (JUP) and wanted to try, check out the protocol. Since, I’ve used a bunch of different protocols, included kamino, sanctum, meteroa.
Grow the pie and celebrate Jupuary as intended.
The selling pressure will come either way. It can be a slow bleed, or it can happen all at once, I say let it happen and trust in Jupiter and those of us who want a cheaper entry to buy their bags as they dump them.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s been waiting for Jupurary’s sell pressure to accumulate more JUP!

If this pass, it will have catastrophic consequences imho. You basically want to get new members with saying FUCK-YOU to the old ones. The old believer will be always the biggest believers.

Im at times saddened by the fact that Meow seems to have decided to be surrounded by Yes men. A community needs people who challenge his ideas, put him on the right track when the things he propose do not benefit no one but his idealistic and utopian views.
I’m glad we still have folks like you matto, and others who constantly are willing to challenge whatever is being proposed.

I voted but Feedback popup I cant send anything so here it is : Problem is not in Supply. Problem is in JUP Community nobody is excited to purchase any JUP. Project airdrops were weak and un impactful. Jup.ag products do not use JUP token for anything. People love JUP. But people are not hungry to buy JUP. And until you fix that problem, all the drama, all the tokenomics, will not matter, because end of day, someone has to buy it and hold it. And until someone buys it for purpose of holding. Most people who will be buying ( and selling JUP ) are those traders using leverage on Binance, praying on people ignorance, hype and fears, and living of those emotions. If you want to help JUP and help JUP community, make JUP Exciting to BUY.

Miuq, it seems not many people know how to access these kind of critical data. I’m glad you shared this link. I’ve been screaming for a week that millions are being installed by the day, but in vain. It seems the voices of reasons of this community are the minorities. You can even see that from the screenshots meow shared: all positive just one negative. What kind of leader is that?

I was about to criticise that but did not dare. But yup… you say you want to stay objective but choose to add mainly positive comments to the original post and that way influence voters.

Or we find BETTER ways to onboard users without giving out GIFT MONEY because “why not”?
700m tokens is a gamble many here are not willing to take.
If it doesn’t, we’ll just unstake and go somewhere else that will treat and respect us better

I would prefer the airdrop to be in the form of staked JUP that has a 30 day unstaking period, coupled with higher ASR rewards for the first few quarters. That way the ones who remain staked also benefit, not just the farmers. If people believe in Jupiter, they should not have any problem receiving staked Jup. I would also have frequent but smaller drops rather than one big drop of $700M
With the current unlocked schedule, I will be voting a No and hope that the next iterated feedback has some kind of locking/vesting/staking incorporated in the airdrop.

I wish we could know if this would include any type of lock period.
I see a very bright future whichever way this goes. But the uncertainty of a “no” vote will make me vote “yes”.

The first JUPUARY airdrop came to me as a surprise a few days before the airdrop where I saw I was allocated quite a decent airdrop that I didnt even know I was “farming”. I was just using Phantom in wallet swaps and earned points that way. Didnt even know that Jupiter existed.
It truly was a gift and I want other people to experience what I felt during this years Jupuary hence why I voted yes.
