At least not the founders of the project. Use the product if it’s good, don’t do it to farm a potential airdrop. We don’t need farmers. -Meow
I did use it, mostly for perps and staking. To be honest, not impressed at all, with neither one. I didn’t like that APR at all. The perpetuals… there is lots of work to be done.
A whale is staking for the rewards but a trader should trade because you think the platform is that good. Why is that?
As our friend said above, the rich gets richer, the poor stays poor.
I’ll be back if the team can fix the game. Until then, no thanks.
There is no second best in terms of swaps on Solana.
One more thing. The airdrop farmers are paying fees. If you want me here for the next two years, you should show me some appreciation, not to call me a fckn farmer every day.
After all, Jupiter it’s supposed to be an agregator. At least that’s what I thought.
Well, you don’t make sht from swaps. The real money are coming from farmers like me.
Maybe I traded on Jup having in my mind the airdrop, not knowing if I’m going to get something nor how much I’m gonna get.
The whales staked their Jup for that big fat ASR. Who’s the real farmer here?
bet all this opposing against trade wont be utilizing platform just relying on ASR.
Look, I’m pretty sure that if you have decent volume you will be on the receiving end. The airdrop will most likely not be going either to staker or to traders. Both categories will be rewarded and I’m faithful that you and I will be happy with what they come up with.
I voted yes in the last vote. I will be voting yes in the upcoming vote as well because the community matters. Without Community there’s no Jup and vice versa
Personally, I have my JUP staked and I plan to keep a large part of my position for many years, even until 2030, and I am very serious about this, I deeply believe in this project. I am not a whale, I do not have that many tokens. However, I think that in the airdrop, those of us who stalk JUP and believe in this project in the long term should be taken into account, and not only those who speculate by making swaps. I have also interacted with the platform by making exchanges, but my most important job (and I think that of many of those of us here), is to stalk our tokens for the long term, and that shows our confidence. Sorry if there are grammatical errors, I do not speak English.
How do I see who voted what (for instance, when you claim “200 whales swayed the vote”). Is there a dashboard somewhere, or could you point me how to read the blockchain? Thks!
I agree with you
Community deserve jupuary
@meow i always had this gut feeling when listening to your talks, that you had it in you - a fundamental desire to benefit humanity at large. And that this more than money but using your gift to bring about a better world.
Parts of the solution, we’ve come to learn on our own…in the dust of playa. Dust equalizes and brings unity among classes, strips away ego.
How this plays out downstream via Jup is a challenge. But you have my support and even prayers.
As we all know, our world is being turned upside down with the advent of AI. Totalitarianism is around the corner if humanity does not build the critical infrastructure to enable sovereignty of data, consent based systems, etc… things that block our traditional extractive surveillance based capitalistic models.
What we are doing with governance is a key part of this. But tbh, we are wayyyy too slow in this area. We need to experiment with governance at a faster pace with multiple variations. The ideal system is capable of supporting a diversity of interests.
The use of agentic ai will be key to winning in the long term.
We need more poverty eliminating, wealth building, and wealth preservation tooling, so that we can be prepared for the coming economic singularity. How can Jupiter help us with this?
We need ability to fractionalize and to connect with smaller communities within the big one. We need to get to know eachother more deeply and authentically.
We need more education and more play.
We are but a small faction of people on the globe. But can be a powerful force of change. Can we galvanize?
Well, this is essentially the purpose of Jupuary to begin with. To create community and USER buy in to the product such that the DAO performs more effectively and is more decentralized.
I have hundreds of thousands of organic volume and at this point for SOL based perps am using Jup.
Reality is if Jupiter was cancelled entirely or more than 30% of it became a linear stake drop I would never use the project again and FUD it to death on social media. I don’t even care if its the best product with one of the best teams in the ecosystem. No interest in supporting a little stake ponzi for whales.
Zero tolerance for projects that orient towards being mega centralized and allocating only to whales and insiders.
Again, look at the price success of the Hyperliquid token, the most community oriented project in crypto history outside of the early days of Bitcoin. Airdrop farmers and users are not mutually exclusive. I personally only use projects that are going to airdrop or have already airdropped in a way that I see as community focused and ethical.
Same situation with useage of HL, even after the drop trading volumes are still unbelievably high and haven’t even dipped month on month.
Said a million times, this is the industry of networks, network effect is the most important aspect of token price and community building is key here.
I appreciate your opinion and understand why you think it that way.
Keep it close and tightly human. Grow the community
