Introducing Divvy.bet to LFG: The Future of Betting Where Anyone Can Be The House

The main difference between Divvy.bet vs the likes of Solcasino and Rollbit is that we’re a fully on-chain sports betting dApp whereas they operate on white label software utilizing crypto as the settlement layer. We elected to build Divvy.bet in-house leveraging smart contracts to facilitate the creation, wagering, and settlement of token based sports bets.

By going on chain we’re able to differentiate from the competition via:

  1. Wager directly from wallet without signing up or pre-funding an account on Divvy.bet
  • Sign up/create account with email or wallet and deposit required prior to wagering
  1. Wager with desired supported token (USDC,USDT, SOL, JUP, W, BONK, PYTH)
  • All deposits are converted to a USD value prior to wagering and often times with a spread
  1. Winning bets are settled directly back into wallet.
  • Winning bets are credited to account and required to submit withdrawal requests to receive funds. Similar to deposits, any non-stable coin tokens are typically converted from the USD credit with a spread. Most operators have a withdrawal limit.
  1. BE THE HOUSE: Provide liquidity into Divvy.bet house pools to gain exposure to the sports betting activity and earn a share of the P&L.
  • Centralized operation where the operator receives majority of the profits.

Collectively, these points allow us to offer a true permissionless web3 betting experience that’ll redefine the way people bet. Give us a spin and let me know if you agree!

What would you say are the main priorities in terms of expanding markets, or adding new verticals?

‘Cashout’ winning bets (while the bet is still ongoing) or something like that would be great way to increase turnover too. Good for the user and good for the LPs.

Thanks for this detailed response. It answered my questions excellently.

I like your project,
Betting on the blockchain platform with wallet connection, It will not get better than this.
You are one of the most exciting projects of the next round, I wish you success.
I used to use the 1Xbet, I am with you from now on because first of all, we don’t have the problem of authentication,
secondly, money conversion and transfer to the site is rejected.
My next round vote is definitely you,

You mean that when your project succeeds in voting like other projects (Zeus Network, Uprock and …)
Do you give airdrop tokens to the voters during the your token DVY launch?
Its good

The current priority is to expand markets and betting options. Because we went the route of building Divvy.bet from scratch, the current alpha version only supports out right sports bets (Moneyline, Handicap, Totals). With the core offer in sports betting, we’re committed to becoming a household name and provide permissionless wagering with parlays, teasers, props, and the many other bet types that sports bettors love. Once the upgrades are complete we’ll be exploring other verticals such as lottery, slots, and other degen games that you’d typically see in the traditional casinos.

I’m glad you’ve mention the cashout feature and I absolutely agree that it’ll have a positive impact on both UX and turnover. We have this feature in our roadmap but with a twist… A concept that started with the March Madness Bracket Challenge and Champions Series, we’re going to enable users to mint their bet slips into NFTs (with $DVY) that’ll be tradable in a secondary market, creating a new method of price discovery for sports wagers that previously was only available to operators.

This is something I would be interested in. There is a project called solanacasino which is similar I guess? Casino games good but the sportsbook isn’t something I like to use due to limited options. Would Divvy focus on the sportsbook a lot? Your website looks beautiful as well!

When I first came across divvy I had a few questions. I never thought a casino could work like that. When I then got to talk to the team behind it, I just had to use it as my favorite betting site.

I love the idea that no matter what bets you place, you are sure of a payout if you bet correctly. Other casinos can make it difficult but divvy has made it very easy.

Even though divvy is a bit far, I still feel they have a lot of potential to take some market share and move to the entire gambling industry.

Thank you for your kind words! Our goal was to create the best sportsbetting experience on the planet via a beautiful and simple to use UI so your remarks mean the world to us!

To answer your other question please check out my reply above which outline the differences between us and a competitor like SolCasino. Our focus is currently on becoming the premier destination for online sports betting and therefore, we’re working on adding new sports betting options to expand the offering. We’ll absolutely be adding casino table and slots game in the future as well to become a full solution casino.

Would you be able to provide a concise answer as to what differentiates you with SolCasino?

This sounds really good. Can you specify how this “innovative staking mechanism” is going to work?. How to make our staked $JUP be able to provide liquidity to the Divvy house pool?. Are you going to use some sort of LST for that? or what?.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your kind words, would love to have you come try the platform and get your feedback on the experience. As for the staking mechanism mentioned in the post, you are absolutely right that it’ll come in the form of liquid staking. We want users that provide liquidity to the $JUP house pool to be able to experience dual benefits from being the HOUSE while actively participating in Jupiter DAO initiatives. We’d love to partner up with Sanctum and utilize their existing infrastructure to achieve this (credit to @VontariusF).

That’s right, I answered back on 4/30 but happy to link it here as well!

The best way to know is to try our platforms out side by side :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

the site is not available in my region, and also can not use VPN … I find this strange for the crypto industry…

I’m a whale in Divvy- So ground floor, everything is coming this year and then will build on that for next year. Only up from here.

2nd time is the charm for this sleeper project! PLUS they have great NFT trading card bets where you purchase the team you think will win the championship i.e. NBA, MLB, Soccer, NFL… You can trade the bet or buy a bet as the season goes on after mint… cutting edge! I should have sold my 2 49ers NFTs this year… paid 1 sol and could have made 7 sol each by selling the bet… I thought they would take it though!

Please see section 15 of the Divvy.bet Terms and Conditions which outline the restrictioned regions.

Interesting project. I have a soft spot in my heart for sport betting. Will keep an eye out and also dive in house pool concept. However, 2 quick questions:

  • Who is setting the lines? Noone listed on the team seems to be a gambling expert. Providing liquidity for the house would require that house knows what it’s doing. There are quite a few sharps out there that will take advantage of any mistakes, especially without restrictions like registration and withdrawal limits.
  • Any plans for DFS?
